We literally have this meme about how we wish our left-wing party was replaced by Dannish left-wing party.

It goes like this:

Yes, many Polish people are sad that the Polish left might soon find themselves out of the parliament and look at Denmark(the only actual democratic socialdemocratic country on Earth with 3 left-wing victories in a row) for inspiration on how to win

The social Democrats haven't been left wing for a long time

They've pulled towards center right on the Danish political spectrum. Fiscally too.

Pulling towards something and being something is not the same

No, but when it has been happening for 13 years.

The party they agree most with is the Danish liberal party if you cut past bullshit rethoric and look at the politics at play, and they're in government together atm too.

In what world? When do they advocate for tax cuts for example?

Why do we talk about what they advocate for rather than what they enact?

Politicians lie a ton, or rather say what they think nets them votes. Look at the policies they're the frontrunner of

Yes, when was the last time they gave tax cuts to the rich?

On what besides immigration?

Everything... like tax breaks and "effectivising" every public service... I can't really see where they differ

What is Venstre in English? Checkmate atheists

Even if you include the current government, which is much more centrist than leftist, the left has not won three times in a row. Mette Frederiksen, the current social democratic prime minister, won in 2022 and before that in 2019, but the election before that, in 2015, was won by the right wing.

Soc.dem vandt valget i 2015

https://www.ft.dk/aktuelt/nyheder/2015/06/valgidag.aspx

So that's just not true. The last three governments have been

  • Rightwing: Venstre, Liberal Alliance og Det Konservative Folkeparti
  • Centrist leaning left: Socialdemokratiet
  • Centrist leaning heavy right: Socialdemokratiet, Venstre og Moderaterne

I don't know why the story is different in Poland, but Socialdemokratiet is not even leftwing anymore. At BEST they are centrist, but them changing their stance on immigration was just one thing in a long line of right leaning decisions from them in the past 10 years.

Heavy right? Really? Depends if you think in economics or value politics

I sad leaning:) But yeah, I don't think Socialdemokratiet is in any way leaning left anymore.

It really doesn't, the left-right scale of redistribution of wealth is absolute, and goes from complete public ownership of the means of production on the left, to complete privatisation on the right.

Not relative to other political parties.

Europe doesn't share news in great detail, viewed from the outside details get lost.
