I think Opera (I think this episode is where we learned her name) captured my feelings toward this episode nicely. I had started doing my usual thing of writing notes as I went through the episode, but then just couldn't even really make sense of things anymore. This episode was a whole bunch of talking without really saying anything. Characters were running through hallways but not really getting anywhere. The puppetmaster finally took off his mask, but then we didn't even see his face. I mean, what was accomplished this episode?

I just looked it up and this series has 13 episodes listed, so we have two more to go. I have no idea where things are going to go from here, largely because I have very little understanding of how we got here or where "here" even is. I am super curious what the initial version of this story looked like because it has lots of elements that seem interesting. However, you can just tell that they cut out all the parts that connected them into a coherent story. If this was like four seasons long, maybe there is a great story to tell here.

See you all next week!

Edit: Forgot to mention the worst part was that there wasn't even any chocolate eaten this episode!

Pretty sure the voice was a giveaway here. It sounded a fair bit like Roy Junghart, but that might also be because I already thought the Puppetmaster was him.

I mean, what was accomplished this episode?

Wasn't it revealed at the end that Noir is Gene's dad? Or did I completely misunderstand? Either way, yeah. Nothing was really accomplished.

Yeah, Dr. Junghart is really the only one that makes sense. I think it would also be one of the few people that the detective would know at a glance like that since he was investigating Jungahart's "muder" after all.
