In addition to the First Amendment, journalists are protected by Fourth Amendment safeguards against unreasonable search and seizure.

Police should focus on serious lawbreakers, not reporters covering the DNC protests.

Hundreds of journalists are expected to converge on Chicago to cover the Democratic National Convention on Aug. 19-22 – and they must be allowed to do their jobs unimpeded.

The city’s plan to “streamline” mass arrests during the convention, by processing arrestees at a makeshift court at the Area 3 police station at Belmont and Western, does nothing to alleviate the threat mass arrests pose to journalists. The plan, reported by the Sun-Times last week, is supposedly for the arrestees’ convenience: It’ll be easier for them to get home on public transportation that way.

I've always seen people referencing just a single photo or video of Trump with Epstein & Co., so I felt it was necessary to create this compilation to show that Trump's relationship with these people extended far beyond being mere acquaintances.

If you have any feedback, I'm all ears. My channel isn't monetized so I just make whatever I feel like and it's nice not having money in the equation. No monetization means I can do little weird things like creating this video in the style of Goodfellas, just to show people that at the end of the day, the only difference between Trump and a two-bit gangster is that he inherited billions of dollars. Apart from that, he still has and continues to conduct himself like a boorish fool.

On Monday night, a few minutes after President Joe Biden took the podium in Chicago’s United Center, several DNC members, Boraey among them, unfurled a banner reading “Stop Arming Israel” in the colors of the Palestinian flag. Their aim, they said, was to disrupt and confront the party with what it was trying to ignore: the ongoing genocide in Israel, funded and armed by the U.S.

I was a few feet away when the banner went up and witnessed a surreal scene, as delegates around them tried to block it with “We <3 Joe” and “USA” signs. Some delegates tried to rip the banner away from the protesting DNC members, but they held on tight as others intervened, urging the crowd to raise their signs as high as possible but not cause a violent scene.

Several of them began using signs to block my camera and that of a Democracy Now reporter, who was on the scene with — of course! — Amy Goodman, who couldn’t be kept away from a protest like that.

One delegate followed me through the crowd relentlessly — with frankly impressive determination — putting his “USA” sign in front of my phone as I worked to avoid him. The protest starts nearly eight minutes into the video we’re posting below, but the early part is interesting, too, to get a sense of the intense energy in the arena.

Donald Trump was focusing on crowd sizes again on Sunday.

Specifically, Trump is pushing back on report that showed video of people getting up and leaving as the former president was still on stage speaking. People were starting to "trickle out" of Donald Trump's Pennsylvania rally while he was ...

“What was very shocking was that while we were all in the room discussing and listening to people impacted by what’s happening in Gaza, we’re not certain that that message will get across to the people at the top of the party,” Khader added. “You look at the themes of the party’s convention – today, tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday – there’s nowhere where Palestinians are included in that narrative.”

While the platform condemned former President Donald Trump for refusing to “endorse the political aspirations of the Palestinian people,” it made no divergence from the status quo policy of vetoing UN Security Council resolutions this year that moved towards Palestinian statehood.

While the platform boasts of being opposed to settler violence, it makes no acknowledgment of the International Court of Justice finding the Israeli government’s occupation and illegal expansions of settlements constitute apartheid.

And to that end, while the platform condemns UN efforts that apparently “single out” Israel, and the Boycott, Divest, and Sanctions movement for the same – apparently ignoring the historical precedent of Americans also boycotting and pushing divestment against fossil fuel companies and apartheid South Africa.

Just minutes before this recording began, the panel got word that the DNC officially confirmed a Palestinian speaker would not be brought to speak on stage at the convention on Thursday, despite officials suggesting to the movement earlier that it could happen.

The DNC had gone so far as shortlisting potential speakers, according to unnamed members of the movement who spoke to Zeteo.

CHICAGO — A Kamala Harris administration will not cut or condition US security assistance to Israel, her former aide says during a panel on the sidelines of the Democratic National Convention.

Jewish Democratic Council of America CEO Halie Soifer, who previously served as Harris’s national security adviser in the Senate, notes that the Biden-Harris administration has approved more aid to Israel in the past six months — $15 billion — than any other administration ever.

The Federal Reserve is implementing a 'soft landing' strategy that prioritizes big businesses and financial interests over the working majority, in contrast to 2008 when the market crashed and bailouts favored large corporations at the expense of taxpayers. The current approach involves protecting these interests upfront, ensuring their stability during this economic downturn.

Fed “losses” are banks “gains” in terms of revenues, that ultimately become net income and turn into capital. The fed bought up overpriced bonds from financial institutions like Goldman Sachs, which wasn't a significant issue when interest rates were under their control between 2008 and 2022. However, the loss of credibility on inflation led to rate hikes, causing accumulated losses.

The Fed chairman has stated that small businesses will suffer while big businesses remain strong due to their cash reserves. This strategy comes at a significant cost for average individuals who may face unemployment and potential loss of homes as they bear the brunt of the economic fallout.

Rate hikes and macro-management of money markets are designed to make borrowing expensive, protect big banks, and reduce demand by pushing small and mid-cap stocks into bankruptcy. This approach seems poised to result in further consolidation and monopolization of capital.

Unlike other Democratic politicians who talked about the need to end the war, including US President Joe Biden who spoke on Monday, Obama chose to make vague comments about human rights and global peace, while making substantive remarks on several domestic policy issues such as affordable housing, reproductive rights, and immigration.

Throughout the conflict, the US has fast-tracked weapons and armaments to Israel's military and provided a diplomatic shield for Israel at the United Nations, where Washington blocked several early attempts to pass a resolution calling for a ceasefire.

The US also provides Israel with $3.8bn in military aid each year.
