Any solo historical wargames you guys recommend for a beginner to wargaming? (lemmy.world)

I recently got interested into wargaming and would like to try out systems, preferably solo systems since I don't have anyone to play with. I would also like miniature-agnostic systems, if any, since I don't have minis yet and would not like to spend a ton.

I'm mainly interested in medieval-themed stuff (even medieval-fantasy), but other themes are welcome.
