Currently have Ryzen 5950x and RX6950xt and will be building in a Dan A4 H2O. Trying to decide which PSU to go with.

On one hand the SF750 is smaller so easier to cable manage/build. Also gives me more flexibility to transition to smaller SFF cases should I want to (though I think Dan A4 H2O or something bigger will be pretty endgame for me since I like running high end parts).

On the other hand the Loki 1000w seems a better investment long term if I keep using high power GPU/CPU combos over the next few generations. I chose the A4 H2o because its the smallest case that cools everything decent. It's just bigger and more expensive.

I'll be getting custom cables for both PSU's so lengths and excess cables shouldn't be a concern. I've read a lot that the SF750 is plenty capable even with a 4090 so figured maybe I should just save space and some cost? It has a great reputation to boot too so I'm leaning that direction. But since these PSU's are so expensive relatively speaking, I just want to make the best long term decision. Thoughts?

Original Title: Does anyone have the MSI B650I EDGE WIFI, I keep going back and forth on this board because it doesn't have PCIe Gen5, but reviewers seem to really like it as a AMD mini ITX board. What are you thoughts on PCIe Gen5 NVMe drives that are gen5 seem to get really really hot and need a lot of cooling.

I want something small and minimalist looking as I want it to be easy to transport. At least as easy as possible as I have to move out soon. No more than 100 euro

I have a SFF that has a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot, and it has this low profile RX 560 card that supposedly uses 8 lanes of PCIe 3.0.

It's tempermental lately, and if it goes out, I'm wondering if I would see a performance upgrade with this low profile RX 6400 that supposedly uses 4 lanes of PCIe 4.0.

Obviously - on my SFF configuration - the RX 6400 would use 4 lanes of PCIe 3.0, as opposed to the 8 lanes for the RX 560. But since the RX 6400 is internally faster, would I see a significant performance upgrade? (In my games, I see that the GPU is the bottleneck, running at 100% usage, while my CPU hovers around 30%)

Any 2024 cases you’re excited for? I can’t help but feel like the case landscape has gotten a bit stale, not because the cases are bad but because it seems like we have accessible cases which have been determined the “best” in their respective categories/niches. Anything to look forward to?

I am looking for help with my first-ever SFF build. My usage is mostly for data analytics, lite creator works (Adobe Creative Suite), and gaming at 4K. All key tentative components/ options are listed below. I am more than appreciative to take any feedback/advice from experienced members.

  • CPU: i5 14600K; Should I go with the new i5 14600/ 14500 for better heat management?

  • MB: MSI B760I EDGE WIFI DDR5

  • GPU: MSI RTX 4070 Ti Super 16G GAMING X SLIM at 307 x 125 x 51 mm. This one is fixed, as I pre-ordered and paid already. Arrive on Jan 25, super excited for this one (upgrade from RX 480)

  • Case: Fractal Terra. An alternative is Cooler Master MasterBox NR200P MAX, yet I heard several issues with its AIO & CPU overheating. Cooler Master NR 200 or NR 200P Mini ITX are other options.

  • PSU: CoolerMaster V750 SFX - 80 Plus Gold - Full Modular. I just randomly pick a PSU that fits. Better options may be available.

  • CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-L12S, don't know if this will fit. Per Fractal Terra manual, the position I need to set to is "3" with the GPU above, giving CPU clearance only of 67 mm. I assume 67mm is the height of both the metal and the fan together. Alternative is Noctua NH - L9i - 17xx

  • Case fan: Noctua NF-A12x15 PWM as exhaust fan (recommended by many threads in Reddit)

Hi everyone

Last year, I built 2 pc, one for my wife, the white and unicorn one, and one for me, black non rgb. Both in the NR200 case.

specs :

unicorn :

i5 11400 with intel stock fan

RTX 3060

coller master v750sfx gold

3 rgb fan cooler master 120mm, 2 on top (exhaust) et 1 at the bottom (intake)

the black one :

i5 12400f

cooler master sfx v650 gold

cpu cooler thermal assassin x120se

rtx 3060

just the 2 120mm black stock fans coming with the nr200 on top (exhaust)

The white one is pretty with shiny rgb lights on rainbow mode, but always noisy. The black one is silent. Both are under the desk.

My questions are : why so much noise ? is it the rgb fans ? is it the intel stock cpu fan ? is it a turbulence created by the fan under the gpu ? What can I do better to reduce the noise ?

Thank you for the different opinions.

PS : the temps are identical in both cases (around 65° for the CPU and 65° for the GPU)

Pretty exciting specs and dimensions. Clearly the best small 4070Ti super that you can get. Will be excited for its release.

I'm reaching 80C max with my cooling solution for an 7800x3d under stress.

Could I cool a 7950x3d below 89C with the same cooling solution?

I've got an RTX 3060Ti right now, but I was thinking about getting one of the new 4070 Supers, but not sure which 4000 series cards fit alright in the Ncase M1 v6.

I was originally considering the 4070 Super FE, but I'm located in Japan right now and it seems like you can only get AIB boards here. I could try to get one in the US and have my family ship it here, but that's not a cheap endeavor either. To make matters worse, the local RTX 4000-series pricing is just totally out of whack here in Japan. It seems like ordering something from Amazon US would just be easier, BUT they don't sell the Founder's Edition model.

On top of that, if I go through all that hassle, I was considering even just upgrading my case to the newer Ncase EVO and having no issues with card size at all. That said, I might prefer to keep my existing case if possible.

What do you all think?
