I have an old WDTV media drive that works great as a plug & play device, but my newer Mac laptop no longer allows me to connect to the drive to update the files. Any advice for a newer plug & play device, or a way to get the old WDTV to connect to my new Mac? I want to use this at my mom's cabin, where we have no internet or cell service. TV has HDMI inputs. Thanks for any advice!

Assume that a DRM solution exists that is uncrackable but also does not require a constant internet connection, does not cause performance loss and does not have all the other downsides that Denuvo has like limited system activations. The game's publisher is also contractually obligated to remove this DRM after 10 years so that the game is guaranteed to be preserved for the future too. A demo would also be available of the game which can help decide if it's something you would want to buy.

If a game was released in this state, would you have any complaints?

No seriously, could someone recommed me a movie streaming website alternative to lookmovie.foundation ? This one is the best I've tried so far (no huntin ads, and pop-ups), but now it requests a premium membership for HD content. I've looked in the megathread on this sub, but I couldn't menage to find something similar, because all of the one I've tried were full of pop-ups. One also automatically downloaded a file which was blocked by Chrome.

Thank you!

P. S. I want to watch Full Metal Jacket

Hello all, thank you in advance for any help. I'm just a naturally skittish person, and I want some reassurance and suggestions hopefully?

So, and I know some of you will cringe, I don't use services like kodi, etc to stream my stuff. I download, catalog, and put them on hardrives for my home server. Plex mostly. I was suggested to use alldebrid as a safer option than torrenting and because I like realgator stuff and the links take forever.

I've been using alldebrid for realgator links and then I get the magnet links for torrents, put them in, and then download them. Where I am really skittish is that I can't use my vpn with alldebrid or they ban my account.

Am I safe? Should I leave the debrid service and get a seedbox and use my vpn to download it? I'm just concerned that my isp will see the big downloads and be able to see what they are - even from alldebrid, or even just judge based on the size... and I know I'm a baby, but I have bad luck in life, so I'm concerned.

I'm not running any kind of massive operation either, but one time my vpn dropped and I got a letter, so I'm concerned that I'm not doing enough. What are my absolute safest moves and steps I can take to prevent any visibility to anyone but me?

I'm curious as to how y'all get your new movie and TV show recommendations. For many years, I either get mine from various social media mentions, random YouTube trailers, Top 100 torrents list etc. However, while this does work, it usually requires switching back and forth between platforms in order to find better recommendations, or to watch the relevant trailers. While I actually enjoy the process of digging and searching sometimes, it can be a bit cumbersome and time consuming, especially when browsing sites that only list films by name, without given trailers. So how do you get your recommendations? Is there any website, app, etc you often use for a smooth recommendation experience?

Funny or not, Archive was probably the best way to find music that barely gets any attention. While it is currently under DDos attacks, I find myself unable to search any interesting sounds. You can go as far as requesting to browse files of people on Soulseek but it isn't as efficient as archive since you have to download the songs beforehand. Metered data is a huge issue for me and I find myself into a corner, trying to find audio.

Are there any alternatives? I remember going one year ago on a site called 'openbox' or something; kind of a blue one but I can't find it anywhere anymore. I am probably mispelling it but it had a quote like 'why don't you do...?' Idk.

We all know them, That one fucking torrent for a movie with no peers or that one tvshow with no torrent at all, I have only ever been able to get 5 white whales in my long journey of piracy so I am genuinely curious as to how others have faired?

I made a neat tool that can help bypass the password sharing restricting bullshit Netflix using routing and Zerotier.

I have it set on my Linux server that acts as my router, not only Netflix is redirected to my parents house (all my traffic to netflix servers is now showing up as their IP), but I did the same with hulu, disneyplus, when they eventually follow suit.

Also this can be used to bypass the new restrictions imposed in several US states when it comes to adult content, requiring a fucking ID.

Very new to torrenting, and I looked up how long I should seed after I torrent a game. Most posts mention the ratio, but when I’m seeding it doesn’t go up at all. Am I doing something wrong?

Ive found some of them on places like annas archive but a collection would be perfect. Preferably epubs but PDFs work too

Internet Archive was hacked today, all 31 million accounts have had their details leaked. If you have an account its highly recommended to change your password on the site, as well as anywhere else you are using the same login details.

https://nflmusic.nfl.net/ in recent times has digitized their old NFL Films music library from the 80s that previously was only released on vinyl, of which the only available recordings sound poor at best. Unfortunately, they only allow 30 second previews, and it doesn't seem like regular users can request a login there.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows a source to be able to get in.

let's just say I am starting from scratch and won't have any have any of the background knowledge or understanding an experienced pirate might have

I mostly want to do some exploring into what piracy can do for me and not create any hassles for with my internet provider and such

I bought a Fossibot F101P and did the basic stuff to turn it on - I will go downtown and find some wi-fi to do the initial updates and set up a new email (do I need I new email? can I download apps without one?)

what are the first few things I should do with this new device? I am talking the basics like what browser I should be looking for and what software I might want to delete from the phone if I can
