Much like the title says I remember there being some all out boycotting hate for Asus. I remember Jesus over at gamers Nexus coming down on them really hard and the PC community swearing Asus off forever. I'm just now kind of back into everything because I want to get a 5090 and I'm noticing a whole lot of love for Asus and I was just curious as to what changed? I've always loved Asus and MSI

I'm going nut. I have tried metro exodus first time ever on 6700xt 5 5600 32gb ram. On ultra 140fps+ native, no upscaling. No fucking stutter.

Omg the the graphic is insane. I feel robbed by any UE5 game. I feel like there's something wrong there's no stutter or microstutter and steady fps. Man I feel so sad after playing this game and saw the graphics and the performance. And most importantly i felt metro devs identity unlike any ue5 feels copy paste. This industry is doomed.

As soon as the 50 series releases, I'm planning on switching from console to pc. I still can't decide on spending 3k on a 5080 build and a 4k oled, or £1300 on a 1440p build and monitor.

Another option that I've been contemplating is connecting it to my 4k hdr tv. If I spend £2300 on a 5080 build and connect it to my tv I can save myself £850.

This is the tv I own atm. Apparently it has a relatively good response time and good hdr.

I guess my question is, should I just connect to my pc and save myself some £££?

My tv is at the bottom of my bed and I've used it for my ps5 for the last 3 years. I've only ever been used to 60hz gaming, so I'm sure 120hz will feel massive, regardless of the response time.

One reason that I'm thinking of getting a pc is, I play a bit of online poker, and I think I would be comfortable chilling on my bed with a lap pad for mouse and keyboard.

Is anyone else in a similar situation, and are there any other pros and cons I should consider?

I bought a computer about 1 month ago, the only problem was that before it took 12 seconds to turn off, now it takes longer to turn off completely. What could I do to shorten the time?

To be honest Im sick of opening another launcher when already using one (Steam) to play a game. I know Steam has a 30% fee on every sale but doesnt mean I need to launch another launcher after I used one to play a game. If every launcher WORKED when you launch it, ok, then it would be better but still. And I dont mean to Steam be the only one but you can sell the game on Steam and on your own and just use whatever platform you bought it on. In my years i used Steam, EA Origin, current EA app, Uplay, Ubisoft Connect, Battle.net, CDPR launcher, Rockstar launcher, Xbox app and the only one that worked with some issues is Steam. Its no wonder people sail the high seas if we exclude the price compoment, you dont have to deal with any of this bullshit. And the hell of opening Steam > game > another launcher > ingame launcher like recent COD or upcoming AC Shadows. Implementing this policy would not only force the publishers of those launchers to fix them but even removal of some of them. Sorry I needed to get this off my chest. People are arguing over gender of playabe characters instead of real issues like this.

Tldr: Want your game on Steam? Ok no additional launcher. Dont want to pay Steam fee? Ok make you own launcher and sell it there. Its just that easy
