This is aimed at myself because I just did this. Of course, the tray would melt, but I didn't think about it at the time. It wasn't on a burner or anything, just covering some brownies, my roommates' brownies. They were a bit pissed as they should be. It was ridiculous. I'm 27 years old for crying out loud, almost 28. If only I had some spatial awareness or something, so I could see what's in front of me.

The puzzle I have been working on can not be completed, somehow. The last three pieces are distinctly, unmistakably not going to fit in the last three holes. Somewhere along the lines I must have made a mistake, and cascaded through a series of uncanny coincidences that made all the pieces fit together incorrectly.

I did all of this without ever seeing the box, only to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory at the last moment.

Dang.

Your classic primary/elementary school nativity performance (6-7yr olds), strict limit of two tickets per child issued to us parents with a unique printed number (1 to 120ish). On entry we were told to sit in our assigned seat so there was no stampede for best seats. Then we realise they’ve numbered the chair backs sequentially from 1 but each row is eleven seats wide. So every sixth kid’s parents are split up with one at the extreme left of the room and the other at the far opposite side on the row in front. Madness.
