I have very painful joints and expect to get formally diagnosed with arthritis tomorrow. I love cross stitching, but my god does it make my hands hurt. I also work in IT, so my hands are in use all day for my job. I want to be able to craft after work to relax, but my hands just hurt and cramp immediately when I try to work on a project.

Working on finishing Yubaba's son (in his mouse form)! He looks a bit like a zombie mouse right now, but that will change once I finish the eyes lol

No WIP Wednesday for me this week because I have a finish for now! I love how this turned out! I plan on stitching several more cities from this shop and then ideally frame them all the same. So, on to the next project until its time to FFO this.

I hate this cheap black floss I got from Walmart when I first started. I got a bulk amount so I'm trying to just work through it but it catches on everything and feels terrible. This pattern calls for two threads for some of the backstitching but I ended up using one and running it twice because of how terrible the thread is.

After a little over a year of stitching now I still feel like a bit of a noob, but I'm pretty comfortable with the basics. These parts of patterns still give me some problems though!

My strategy is usually to just do all of one color then move on to the next filling in the gaps as I go, but when it gets down to filling individual stitches surrounded by a bunch of finished stitches it gets quite cramped and sometimes those final stitches end up looking pretty rough.

Is there some really obvious method of doing this that I'm missing? Does anyone else use a different approach?

I got behind due to a lot of stuff going on in my life, but I managed to make some progress still! Sadly because I've been working on it here and there I had some mistakes that resulted in me having to frog a bunch of stitches to get back on track, but it's looking good now!

It's still half in the qsnap here so it wouldn't lay flat. If all goes to plan I think it will be finished in a couple of weeks. 2 over 1 on 18 count.

front and messy back. i went to a craftstore with my mom a couple months ago and bought a kit on a whim. found out I really like the process of cross stitching! I definitely made some mistakes for sure but I've already ordered materials for my next project :3c So far I'm not a huge fan of back stitching but I can see the promise in it.

I'm getting so close to the bottom of the pattern! There's only about 20 more rows under the gazebo.

I did not realize how many fiddly little parts there were to this one lol I think No-Face and Haku should go a bit faster once I get to them though!

Haven't posted progress pics in a while, so I thought I'd share. This is two copies of #PraiseHim #PrayerCloth. Proofing the pattern as I go, since I was an idiot & allowed excitement to override common sense prior to posting it on Ko-Fi.

For the (currently) unproofed pattern posted to Ko-Fi, the #Free #DigitalOnly version is here: https://ko-fi.com/s/3ce465a10a

And you can find the Paid #Printable version here: https://ko-fi.com/s/de5b8faf0f

This is how I use a #TrolleyNeedle as a #LayingTool while #Railroading in #CrossStitch . I apologize I couldn't do a longer video than about two stitches--it told me my video was too large to upload otherwise.
