Updated to latest OS. Pretty cool. Enjoying some good reading since I’ve been out of commission for a bit.

What are folks thoughts on putting in personal information in for device recovery?

I’ve typically just use my first letter of name and phone number for device name.

Does anyone do anything different? What information do you include?

Also, just realized that I did put a device PIN on it, so. It sure if any information would be helpful if I lost it and it were found

I am reading ‘Prequel’ by Rachel Maddow. Great book. I came down with a terrible cold that has sidelined my ability to focus. Can’t read while not feeling well. Anyhow… I put myself back on ‘Libby waitlist’ for library loan.

In meanwhile, I figured it can’t returned if I put it into ‘Airplane-mode’; Is that right?

HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND HAPPY ALMOST NEW YEAR!!!

I find if I choose two radically different subjects, or genres, it is less challenging and doesn’t feel overwhelming. For instance, I was reading ‘The Republic’ by Plato and ‘The Nasty Bits’ by Anthony Bourdain last time.

Now I am reading ‘Prequel’ by Rachel Maddow (non-fiction) and ‘The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store’ by James McBride (fiction).

Are you a two-timer?

Started this book and am really enjoying it thus far. It is a great follow-up, or prequel, if you will, to her podcast ‘Ultra’. Fascinating story, and a warning…

My PW11g is super smudgy. Anyone have any advice on cleaning?

My device is currently naked, sleeveless and livin’ da dream!

Kids were getting ready for school and there was some downtime before I started for work. The dog was somehow calm (puppy warning... getting a puppy is just crazy -- it's like we have a new toddler!)

I read for a good 10 minutes, or so, and am going to hit the rest of that chapter tonight!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend, and a good start to your week...

I have to admit, I have not read in a bit, or posted for that matter... I think it is a little of parental exhaustion, back-to-school madness, busy at work, etc. I'm a little embarrassed, but I'd rather be up front about it than not.

This weekend sounds like a great time to pick up my Kindle and read even for a few minutes, a few pages...

I didn't realize that subscribers have ballooned here! Welcome everyone, and please, please, please contribute if you have time.

Have a great weekend all, and feel free to share your story of reading breaks, why you may have had one, what brought you back or what tools or tips you have for me or others...

Be kind to each other and read on!

I’m reading ‘The Call Of The Wild’ by Jack London. Great read! A bit lighter than my previos read of ‘The Fountainhead’ by Ayn Rand. Many folks scoff reading Rand, however studied her writing in college as part of a Philosophy of Journalism course. I’m reading her again, as I am interested in what far-right, and/or conservative, politicians and entrepreneurs see in her writing and how they are using it as a playbook they refer to on a consistent basis.

I had a cover for years, but bought a great premium leather off of Etsy. I did this only because Amazon’s premium leather for PW11g, in my opinion, was super subpar. Perhaps they wanted to save on quality materials, but wasn’t anywhere close to what was expected based on previous products.

My mother-in-law bought a Kindle for me years' ago as a birthday present. I never thought I would love reading a e-book as much as I do!

I created Kindle community for others to discuss kindle thoughts, ideas, products and share pictures of their kindle!

I have a Paperwhite11g. Tell me about yours..
