Not sure what's best, I don't know too much about the TV world. Need a new one to replace the one my Mother broke by accident.

lg-50ur73006la vs lg-50ur78006lk vs LG 50UR80006LJ 50" what's best? What's the difference?

I would consider Sharp but as it needs to be closest to the same I cannot. The descriptions look very similar if not the same. I've tried to do my research but found little to nothing. If people could weigh in on this It would be much appreciated.

DENON AVR-X3800H refurb is going for $999 + Dirac SW & HW price

PIONEER Elite VSX-LX505 refurb is going for $749 which includes Dirac

I've a 4k Epson LS11000, Nvidia Shield Pro, and an Emotiva Amp for all 5 channels. I was wondering if there's a reason at all to go for the expensive 3800 which might be almost twice the price of LX505 after including the Dirac Full bandwidth price. Please let me know your thoughts. I currently have a Denon 3200 which died on my after 8 years.

I'm looking for general longevity, AV quality, recent tech, Dirac, and hopefully a single remote (nvidia) to turn on/off, change volume.

I’m in the market for a new receiver and found a s960h for 300. Just wondering if there’s any known issues or problems with these. Or are they better receivers on the market for 3-500?

Considering the LG C3 OLED 77” and Samsung S90C 77" OLED - I'm torn between these options for an ultimate console gaming and entertainment experience.

LG C3 77” OLED evo 4K Smart TV, $2296.99

Samsung S90C 77” OLED 4K Quantum HDR Smart TV, $2297.99

Seeking insights from users who've experienced either model. Picture quality, gaming features, and overall performance are crucial.

Your opinions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I see 2 in my area - one being used at $600 and the other reportedly new in box for $720.

Is it worth it going for either of these at these prices? It’s pretty hefty price tag new, but I’m always scared going secondhand for speakers.

Alright. I am getting rid of my Atmos sound bar. I current have Elac and Kef bookshelf speakers with a Yamaha TSR 7850 receiver. I am at a dilemma on which brand should I lean towards for my set up:

  • Considering Elac because it's "cheaper"? more deals/sales as far as I remember.
  • Considering Ken because I really like their sound signature. Idk know it's more clarity for me and smoother to my ears. Aesthetically I prefer them over Elacs.

Upgrade route:

  • Current goal is get a good Center Channel for 3.1 set up, budget $500
  • Next goal is upgrade the L/R and move the current bookshelf speakers to rear for 5.1

Current equipment:

  • Elac Debut 2.0 6.0
  • Kef Q150
  • Yamaha TSR 7850
  • Klipsch Reference R-12SWi 12"

I am looking to convert a room into a little home cinema. The room is 4.5 metres deep, 3.5 metres wide and 3 metres tall.

I am mainly looking at 1080p ripped and back-ed up movies and Netflix, Disney, HBO. I would also prefer to primarily use a computer with MadVR and a dedicated audio interface.

I can mount a fixed screen and i am looking for advice of what projector would best fit the room and what screen would be appropriate, I would prefer the largest screen possible while still maintaining sufficient quality to have an enjoyable experience. As for seating I want to go for a couch as far away as possible from the screen. Room will be light sealed but it would pe preferable to have a nice image even with dim ambient lighting.

Budget is max 5000€, would prefer around 4000€ for the projector and screen and I am looking for recommendations on adding to the current audio setup using 2 KEF q150s with an IOTAVX SA3 amp.

I would also be comfortable with second hand gear.

Hello,

I am in the middle of house building and now its time to design my living room so I want to ask for suggestions.

Currently I have Samsung HW-A650 soundbar with sub, planning to buy 2 wireless satelites. TV will be, I think LG 55" G2 model( or you have better replacement?), you can see my room in layout and in 3D space.

NOTE: stairs are wrong in 3D, they start from other side, not from living room. Dimensions are in meters(6,25 x 5,4m). Floor is open space, so living room with kitchen and dining.

Any suggestions?

TV on the left wall

Wrong stairs

Correct stairs

Stairs should be in direction of red line

Looking for recommendations on sub placement for my Dual SVS SB-3000's

I have one currently, that is now in the front left corner, I've also had it next to each of the front Left/Right Polk RTi A9's.

I find that in the centre of the main living area (sofa) there is quite a null and neither of the three positions I've tried seemed to cover it well. The coverage of the room overall is very uneven which is why I am adding a second SB3000.

Any thoughts on where to put them for the best coverage in the seating position? I think the room being so open on the right side and rear creates some issues even though the listening area is not very big.

Appreciate any insights. I don't really have any measuring tools other than my ears at the moment.

Hello everyone! I'm seeking some advice on choosing a new TV. I'll be sitting approximately 13 feet (around 4 meters) away from the screen and am torn between a few options:

  1. Samsung TV QN95C (65 inches)
  2. Samsung TV QN85C (75 inches)
  3. Samsung S95C (65 inches)

My main use will be for movies and general viewing. I'm looking for the best viewing experience at this distance. The 65-inch QN95C seems great, but I'm wondering if a larger 75-inch QN85C would be more immersive. Also, the S95C caught my eye, but I'm not sure how it compares.

Any insights, experiences, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I want a streaming box with 4k HDR support to play movies off my HDD with no fuss (please note that it should be available in India). Kinda like the nvidia shield but without the extra gaming stuff as I don't need any of that.

Hello !

I have an Xbox S Series and a Panasonic TX-50JX500.

I just bought a Samsung HW-Q800C soundbar, but I just found out that my tv is not compatible with Dolby Atmos. It only has a HMDI ARC, not eARC.

Is there a way I can still use Atmos by connecting my Xbox (which is Atmos compatible I think) directly on my soundbar, and read movies on it ? Or another way ? Or do I have to buy a new TV

Thanks !

Hi guys,

i will change my Pioneer VSX 933 for new AVR but i can't make choice between 3 possibility :

  • Brand new Marantz Cinema 50 (1600€)

  • Brand new Denon X3800H (1200€)

  • Used Marantz SR7015 (1100€)

My actual setup 5.1.2 :

  • 2x Klipsch RP-8000F

  • 2x Klipsch RP-600M

  • 1x Klipsch RP-404C

  • 2x Onkyo SKH-410

  • 1x Klipsch R-120SW

In the futur i would like use the AVR like pre-amp with amp module for each speaker and add 8k TV. 7.2.4

What would be the best choice ?

Just bought some KEF Q150s for $250

I’m hoping for a basic budget setup for now, with space to expand years down the line. I plan on getting a subwoofer and maybe a center speaker in a couple months (any recs?).

I have a ~20x20 living room and currently am just running the TV speakers. Trash.

I plan on getting stands for the speakers, speaker wire, and I assume I either need an amp or a receiver. If the sub I get is powered, I guess I wouldn’t need the receiver and can just use an amp for the Q150s? Would an amp still allow a Center speaker a couple months down the line?

Any recommendations on which sub, amp or receiver to get? I saw the Aiyima T9 Pro and Wiin Amp both mentioned a few times. Is it better to get a receiver?

The media player will probably be the PS5, with main purpose for living room being movies, shows, and some gaming.

I own a Vizio m51ax-jx soundbar, as far as soundbars go I'm pretty happy with it. Besides the subwoofer

It's a tiny 5 inch, either 50 or 60 watt, 4ohm woofer. Its not the worst thing ever but it's far from what want.

Here's my crazy idea

Preface: have no clue what talking about, but if Im told it's possible, I can do it

Do you think could just get a new enclosure, new bigger woofer, upgrade the power supply, and move all the internals of the woofer to a new enclosure? Mind you, this sub controls the rear satellites and connects wirelessly to the soundbar.

I looked inside the woofer, doesn't seem like it would be hard to move the internals over, just don't know if it's possible from a power standpoint lol, like if there is anything on the boards that would need replacing. If I could just upgrade it's power supply then that seems easy enough.

A replacement woofer is only 50 bucks so I might just try it for the fun of it, although I've heard that you can't pair a replacement woofer to the soundbar because they are linked at the factory. But hey who knows.

If any of you have any thoughts, ideas, or just want to tell me how stupid I am for this then that'll be great.
