Awesome interview. I never knew Holmes was in a car wreck that caused a stroke, paralysis and he was in a coma for awhile! He's lucky to be alive!

I'm digging this from RawChili over on Mastodon from 2022. Hopefully there is one for 2023

Preseason predictions. (self.detroitlions)

What is everyone's predictions for the coming season? The hype is as an all time high for the Lions, is anyone buying it?

Vegas has the Lions at 9.5 wins, I think it's totally possible that they can hit the over. I'm buying the hype and think that this year it's the Lions division to lose. Superbowl is probably not happening, but 1-2 playoff wins could happen.

Thought it'd get appealed and bumped down to 2. Guess I was wrong.

@[email protected] mentioned Jerry Jacobs in a post from a few days ago, so I looked up his story.

He has overcome so much in his life! The profile, from a couple of years ago, makes much of the relationship between Jacobs and Okudah, so I wonder how he's doing since Okudah moved on. Hopefully he's moved into more of the mentor role.

Under the radar players (www.detroitlions.com)

Found this article about under the radar players for the Lions. Who do you think will surpass expectations? Who do you think we will be worse than expected?

Honestly, having not watched any OTAs or the sort I think James Houston might be a little underwhelming. I think this is mostly because expectations from some people are wildly sky high for him.

I'm going with Taylor Decker. He's a really good player, solid left tackle, but that's not why I'm picking him. I like him because he's been here since the bad old days. I'm happy for him because he's finally getting to see the team get some respect and some wins.

It might be a minute before we’re back to full throttle but it’s nice to have a home again

Is this the year the lions finally win the big one?

Or is there no one here who is actually from #Detroit.
