So until now I always had closed ports because my ISP put me behind a CGNAT and can't open ports (No I don't need a vpn because no one cares in my country) Over time I just accepted that I cannot open ports but recently saw that if I tell them they will take me out of the CGNAT and be connectable, now I'm waiting for that.

Do you know what speed can you have before and after you open ports and more importantly what percent of peers have their ports open?

I would like to share my jellyfin movies and tv shows with my friend. I was thinking about allowing only his IP address to connect to my jellyfin server.

Is it a crime? Can I be arrested for this? I do not plan on running a mega operation for hundreds of people.

Is that ok to do?

Hello, I'm not sure if this is the right community to ask but I'm currently trying to break the DRM used by BookWalker. I think I'm pretty close but I'm missing a few pieces of information that I can't get myself since I can't root my phone and the BookWalker app won't run unless it's signed by their release key or if it's in an emulator.

So... if you happen to have a rooted Android phone that can run the BookWalker app and you bought some manga on their store, please, send me a message. I'll walk you through the info I need and how to get it and hopefully manage to break the DRM. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I've been using Instander for some time, but even the early beta is outdated by now, and doesn't work correctly. Does anyone have any recommendations on good Instagram mods? I know about AeroInsta, Honista, MyInsta and few others, but not sure which are safe.

PS: please tell me if this isn't the right community for this question, I'm not sure but it seems like the best one PPS: I know precisely how bad instagram is, and I still want/need to use it, so please don't waste your time telling me that.

I know it occasionally has service disruptions, but it usually comes back up after a day or so. Fmovies has been down for almost the entire week for me.

Anyone else having issues?

How do I use exportify or any other option to download favorites / playlists etc (in lossless format) from any music services. I'm using soulseek but I'll check any other option if available. [EDIT]: I'm not trying to download from Spotify, looking for interfacing workflow between Spotify and Soulseek.

It's in the megathread but when doing some research on it I found a lot of mixed opinions on it. Some said it was good others said it wasn't. Anyone got a definitive answer?

Asking mostly because I have fuckloads of video courses, plus a number of movies, that I have yet to even check if the content is as good as their titles imply and I really feel like I'm mostly hoarding this stuff because I have no fucking clue.

Hi everyone, i'd like to start off by saying that i've been pirating for a while and have always stuck to sites that are reccommended on various megathreads and considered safe. Sorry for the long winded explaination.

So i was downloading a game from gamdie (which i have before with no issue) and one from steamrip (i don't remember any issues there) and the gamdie file was almost immediately flagged by WD as trojan. i didn't even make it in time to click anything that all these other trojans started popping up and WD closed on its own. i panicked and deleted the files and tried to run malwarebytes which i thought was installed already (but apparently not) and it turns out i can't even install it, it says the app can't run and to check different versions. I checked on taskmanager and it seems nothing immediately fishy was there, WD gave me back a list of the trojans it found and i deleted them, firefox has acted weird a couple times (duplicating tab instead of opening new one, or opening settings instead), and some of my login info is gone from my browser. i still can't install malwarebytes, and i'm kinda not handling this well, so any help is appreciated.

i couldn't read what all the trojans are and WD won't tell me what they are now, but i remember having seen trojan wacaca (or somehing) and trojan malmar (or something like that). Thank you!

Edit: thank you to everyone that replied, between your advice and the sources I found here (linked below) I apparently found a cryptominer and it seems my system should be clean now. I'll run some extra stuff to be sure and hopefully that will be that. Have a nice day!

I wanted to retry Mastodon after not using my .World mastodon account for months and was wondering if there's an official DB0 Piracy mastodon server before joining any other one.

If there's not, which one do you suggest me to try out which is Piracy friendly?

Found this on reddit and decided to share. Here's the text from the author:

Hey pirates, I made this fully open source movie/tv shows app.

It's available for Android, Windows and Linux.

Main goal of the app is to reduce the headaches of watching and searching for movies. I always hated checking if a movie is out for downloading, then check each torrent site to download it or check each streaming site to watch it. So I made this app to make this process more enjoyable.

The app is currently on version 1 with minimum features to get started.

Features right now:

  • New released torrent files for movies and tv shows.
  • Ability to search for a movie and watch it from different providers or look it up on different torrent sites.
  • Default movie app features like watchlist, favorites and ratings.

Plans for future:

  • Adding a torrent downloader and qbittorrent remote inside the app. i Adding a recommendation system based on requested details

I accept feature requests either here or on GitHub issues.

See screenshots for desktop version on GitHub.

Update: it was an issue with API keys due to a previous install.

Update 2: new problem, qBittorrent has an I/O issue, probably involving the final destination for the media: my Synology NAS. Any advice here is appreciated.

Update 3: I was having issues with mapping my Synology NAS as the root folders, so I restarted the *arrs and now they are unreachable. The solution was to reinstall them without uninstalling them because my computer is weird.

Once a year I try setting up Prowlarr, Sonarr, and Radarr and I felt confident so I reinstalled them. The *arrs are connected to qBittorrent (all tests succeeded) and Prowlarr (again, tests succeeded) and vice versa. I added every indexer that I could successfully connect to (which was most of them) and currently have all of the web UIs open : which work as expected. Everything seems to be communicating and functioning as intended so I tested Radarr. I found a popular movie and started monitoring it, this was about 30 minutes ago. It hasn't shown up in qBittorrent and I'm not sure what I'm missing; can someone help me troubleshoot? In other words, how do I know definitively that this movie I have selected will download and when will it download?

Hi friends,

I've been using yt-dlp to download a few things off of YouTube Music, and I just wanted to ask a few questions about best practice. Right now, I've just been doing it this way:

yt-dlp -f bestaudio -x

I've found that has usually downloaded .opus files (though, .m4a as of late—anyone know why this is?), but, I was wondering (for the sake of compatibility with different music players), do I lose anything by passing --recode mp3?

Also, about losing the .opus files, I got this output when I ran yt-dlp -F on a link:

|ID | EXT RESOLUTION FPS CH | FILESIZE TBR PROTO | VCODEC VBR ACODEC ABR ASR MORE INFO
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
233 mp4 audio only | m3u8 | audio only unknown Default
234 mp4 audio only | m3u8 | audio only unknown Default
249 webm audio only 2 | 1.30MiB 64k https | audio only opus 64k 48k low, THROTTLED, webm_dash
250 webm audio only 2 | 1.64MiB 81k https | audio only opus 81k 48k low, THROTTLED, webm_dash
139 m4a audio only 2 | 1019.36KiB 49k https | audio only mp4a.40.5 49k 22k low, m4a_dash
251 webm audio only 2 | 3.03MiB 149k https | audio only opus 149k 48k medium, THROTTLED, webm_dash
140 m4a audio only 2 | 2.64MiB 130k https | audio only mp4a.40.2 130k 44k medium, m4a_dash

Any insights as to why I'm getting that throttling, and why it's downloading m4a instead of opus? Is it even that much of a difference? Is there some option I can pass to yt-dlp to avoid this?

Any help is much appreciated!
