After a couple of years of DIY nas I got a Synology because I had kids and the risk of being the cause of data loss became unacceptable. So now I DIY compute (VMs, k8s) instead ๐
No regrets though, I learnt a bunch along the way and stopped before I lost anything irreplaceable (mostly)
