@gravitas_deficiency Geez, after over 35 years on the Internet, you think I'd learn to append an "/s" tag to things by now.

I'll leave a some here for future use.

/s /s /s /s /s /s /s /s /s

@gravitas_deficiency @Blaze If they're going to be a stickler about the "in any way" bit, guess it's against the rules to simply view it?

The browser makes a local copy in the cache. That's how things work.

@samus12345 @birthday_attack But it opens Reddit to now being mocked as "The Shart of the Internet".

A win in my book.

@Fizz @Dindonmasker I pay for Youtube Premium.

I still run uBlock Origin on there to cull behind the scenes analytics, and block cross-site cookies from tracking me across the web.

@Yoru Try clicking the gear in the menu bar, and turning off Ambient Mode. That lagged the crap out of my machine, but on a Intel iGPU.

The dark themes in Enhancer for Youtube also disable ambient mode.

@Yoru system specs? What add-ons are installed? What video res, 720, 1080, 4k?

@Polar @captain_aggravated Only hardware I have that doesn't have good function parity with Windows and Linux is a Logitech G510 keyboard. Aside from that, everything is fine. My two HP printers (Laserjet 5l, m102w) work great. Even an old Mustek 1200UB scanner works, where the last Windows driver for that was on XP.

Only thing I can't get into is Gimp, but Adobe CS4/5 works perfectly in a win7 VM.

@LinkOpensChest_wav You're very welcome! I don't know the full laws, but feel that actively sabotaging a browser setting explicitly labelled as an accessibility feature should count as some kind of violation. Submitted my own complaint.

Though, as ABC News is owned by Disney, are we at all surprised of their Mickey Mouse operation over there?

@LinkOpensChest_wav @technohacker If you're a US citizen or resident, you can also file an ADA violation complaint with the Department of Justice.

@Moonrise2473 @Maddison Same message appears on Edge.

No messages on Thunderbird, tho. 😁

@Yoru Fine for me, Debian 12, Firefox 102.13.0esr.

@entropicshart @oce Weird. Mine started doing exactly that out of the blue, and whilst it annoyed me at first, I've gotten used to it. Restart PC, re-open Firefox, everything is there. Didn't change any settings, don't even know what setting enables/disables it.
