I’m looking at building a basic nas for my church to be able to store files and transfer things between systems. What is the recommended system to install - we are looking at using a few year old business class desktop (optiplex or elite desk) to host and while I don’t want something super complicated I also don’t want to end up needing features and not having them later.

I have a very old home and over half my boxes are no neutral. A good no neutral switch that is affordable and reliable would always be welcomed.

CasaOS can give you the nice web interface - along with terminal access in the browser and one click container updates.

Backblaze b2 backup. I'm backing up almost 500gb of personal data (compressed and only things I can't get back easy) for less than $2\month.
