But the teacher vehemently denied any misconduct when he represented himself during the hearing, explaining he felt would be guilty of serious misconduct and child abuse if he was to refer to the student by their chosen pronouns.

If he's saying shit like that, good. You don't get to twist words like that to suit your own agenda, especially when all you're being asked to do is not be a dick...

I just finished Awaken Online: Armageddon by Travis Bagwell and I'm looking for something new. Armageddon was excellent, though now I gotta wait for the next one :(

My nonfiction/heavy book right now is Hitler’s Northern Utopia: Building the New Order in Occupied Norway by Despina Stratigakos. The evolution of fascism is terrifying.
