I already posted all the songs that would best fit New Year, so here's something 40 years late. Definitely a lot of parallels that can still be drawn today.

This is my morning alarm, surprisingly I haven't started to hate it yet.

That's ~15min/day every day of the year and only ~467 people listened more than me

Three days late, but I can't accept that I missed my chance, so here's "Gratitude" not quite on time for Thanksgiving.

I've always thought the intro sounds like circus music.

I had a tough time deciding which song to post today given OB's connection to Halloween, but this feels like a good fit.

My first thought the first time I heard this song was 'This explains why they picked him to score The Nightmare Before Christmas'

This is the album I know best and I've often fantasized about listening to it at a Halloween party in 1985

Happy Halloween!

Some pretty heavy lyrics in this one, but also quite catchy and energetic.

Always makes me think of Weird Al's "Why Does This Always Happen To Me?"

Very interesting video.

Frequent earworm. Love the line about protein biscuits

Brutal critique of a critic

This one is very catchy. (It makes me want to dance)

"They don't know what life's about

They don't have blood

They've got too many legs

They don't have brains in their heads"

This part makes me think this could be a critique of conformity or racism.

What a way to start a career

One of my favorites lyrics-wise. Interesting exploration of duality. Love the lines Sam Phipps does (reptile/samurai facts)

I work for a manufacturing company and sometimes go onto the factory floor, think about this song almost every time.

in 1994 the name was shortened to simply Boingo. The band retired after a farewell concert on Halloween 1995, for which they reverted to the name Oingo Boingo
