The autotune "argument" is sooo narrow. There are many many genres that generally don't use autotune at all (eg. metal).

I feel like Rick is just another old white guy who's mad about Hip Hop but doesn't want to say it directly.

IMO metal has gotten much better. For example, I think bands like Serpent Column and Blood Incantation are doing amazing things for black metal and death metal respectively.

I feel similarly with Hip Hop. But I admit both genres are oversaturated with bad music.

For example, imagine somebody hacks a major social platform and sends a fake message from AI/deepfake Trump to thousand of chuds inciting some kind of fascist terrorism. It might sound unrealistic but what if?!?!?! I could imagine something similar happening with current tech. (I think it's part of why they're trying to ban TikTok.)

In general I feel like "AI" is almost entirely lies, hype, grifting, etc. But I could imagine some scenarios that the state might want to disincentivize.

Don't the forget the extortionate textbooks gatekeeping who can understand the extortionate journals.

There is no automated/objective way to block "pure liberal cringe", propaganda, etc.

But like other people have said, there might be apps/tweaks for more advanced filters.

TBH I respect Toyota for being realistic more than grifters like Musk. The fact is that car will never be a sustainable replacement for cars. They're here to save the auto cartels, not the planet.

But on the other hand public transit and LEVs are much more realistic. I would very much like to see a Toyota e-bike.
