Unfortunately Silence has been unmaintained for years now, so I wouldn't recommend it.

Well, these events made me reconsider subscribing in the first place, as the people benefiting from my subscription used it more than myself, so that was a good opportunity to cancel my subscription.

As soon as you're in the room (messaging) or following someone or something (social networking), you want to store all their content, so that you have it even if their server is down.
It accepts all or minimal depending on the website.
