Hi, anyone could point me at an ELI5 about SAS hardware? I'd like to assemble a NAS using an old HP Z200, I want SAS because I'd get also a tape drive for backups and I cannot find SATA tape drives. For example, is a Dell Perc H310 pci-e card good for me? Can I avoid hardware RAID?

On my work laptop with windows 10 I find this feature quite useful. Every time the damn thing decide to not boot again (happened twice in 3 years) I can just waste half a work day formatting and reinstalling the OS and then all my files are where I left them.

Me too, on floppy disks, kernel 2.0.something... I remember I struggled to get X11 running, so I tried with redhat next

Secondo il garante delle TLC austriaco, il blocco IP è una violazione delle norme EU (torrentfreak.com)
 

In breve, per chi non mastica l'inglese, riassumo l'articolo: Dal 2022 in Austria è iniziato il blocco degli indirizzi IP per la pirateria. Tuttavia in mezzo alla lista nera è finito anche un indirizzo IP di Cloudflare, causando il blocco di numerosi siti leciti. Il garante delle telecomunicazioni austriaco ha stabilito successivamente che il blocco di indirizzi viola la neutralità della rete secondo le norme europee. Prendo le patatine (perché i pop corn non mi piacciono) e aspetto i primi blocchi di indirizzi IP in Italia, conseguenza della nuova legge sullo streaming.
