I don’t know, but when I worked in retail I definitely wanted to help some people end their lives

I don't necessarily disagree, but I find it a bit interesting that a significant portion of our orders are for things like viagra rather than the more critical medications that we would send out for renal care for example.

Somewhat unrelated, but I work at a mail order pharmacy that recently partnered up with Cost Plus and 90% of our orders for them involve erectile dysfunction medications. Do with that information what you will.

I’ve played it on and off since launch, it’s a mixed bag to be honest. The world/characters/quests are all pretty good for a Bethesda-era fallout game but the mechanics are closer to something like Destiny. Caps are hard to come by, gear constantly needs to be replaced as you level up, certain builds are wildly unbalanced, etc.

Things balance out more once you hit the level cap and can start collecting legendaries though, and the quality of life updates have been mostly good.

The grind can be a bit annoying at times but it’s not the worst I’ve ever experienced. I’d definitely recommend trying it if you can grab it on sale or play it during a free weekend.

I think the bug is also related to assigning crew members to your ship that have the shield perk themselves, because I’ve had it trigger for me twice and Vasco was a crew member both times.

Okay, I might have found a fix but I didn’t think to reload any saves to verify it 100%

I took my bugged ship out and boarded a random low leveled enemy ship, cleared the hostiles on board, and undocked while in the new ship. I then boarded my original ship again and when I undocked again my shields were displaying the stats they were supposed to.

I think adding another ship to your collection might correct the glitch, so buying or finding a free one could also help. Or I got lucky and it randomly fixed itself, hard to say for sure.

There seems to be a problem with the Shield Systems perk at either rank 2 or 3 that causes you to LOSE shield strength rather than gain it. It can occur inconsistently since I only have the issue on one of my ships and only now that I’m in new game+, but it’s causing my Razorleaf to actually have max shields of around 270 when it should be giving me 680.

Unfortunately the only solutions right now are to either use a different ship or remove the perk with console commands. I haven’t seen a lot of discussion about it either so who knows if Bethesda is even aware of it yet to begin working on a patch.

Had the same issue the other night. After several attempts to load my autosave and a restart of my Deck, I finally fixed it by loading a much older save first then loading the more recent save from there.

In case it helps anyone figure out a pattern to the issue, my bugged save was on a space station and the old backup save was on my ship in orbit over some planet.

My girlfriend is a voracious reader, so anything that helps me find new ebooks for her is much appreciated!
