He took an extended break after three-plus decades and was supposed to start publishing new strips earlier this year, but so far he hasn't.

I'm not sure about the specifics; it can be a challenge to keep up with all of this.

(And after the first of the year it will probably get much worse.)

The suspect has been identified as 33-year-old James McIntyre, from Illinois. He has been charged with assaulting a government official.

This reference to Mace as a "government official" makes me cringe; she's the type of person who gets into government to destroy it.

Several doctors and US residents have taken to social media in recent days, simultaneously condemning the killing while reciting incidents in which they felt insurers had unfairly denied treatment claims.

speaking of which...

In a 2022 speech to (Anti-Defamation League) leaders, Greenblatt said that "anti-Zionism is antisemitism". The Times of Israel noted that the "speech marked a rare moment of the organization unequivocally" making that assertion. The remarks upset activists and Jewish groups critical of Israel, and also set off controversy within the ADL.

The ADL told The Intercept that it did not consider the protests antisemitic, but Greenblatt labelled the protesting groups as hate groups.

Here are two of the so-called "hate groups" that were defamed by the Anti-Defamation League:

Mr. Goldenberg said, "but what's disturbing about this is it's mainstream."

It's even more disturbing that necessary medical care being denied by insurers is mainstream, as it has been for decades.
