Well, compatibility with the MS office suite on Linux is pretty terrible in my experience. But I've used libreoffice for years with zero issues.

I do always think about a scenario where the internet goes down for one reason or another. I've got houuuuuurs of content to keep me busy.

Agreed, that's what I'm hoping for. We can have algorithmic curation and discovery without the advertising fluff.

Yeah I'm trying to get accustomed to Mastodon. Having sort of the same issue I'm having here though - kinda difficult to find people/communities

My biggest issue is that it's so difficult to see content from other instances. I understand it isn't feasible for every instance to index everything that's out there, but I definitely think we need a much better solution. I'm good with this stuff and it's a pain in the ass for me, your typical social media user will not jump through these hoops.
