That's because a lot of the volume comes from OEM deals.
My best guess is that Intel just does a better job of serving OEMs from a business perspective. This includes thunderbolt as a competitive advantage (though USB4 will evaporate that)
Also laptops... For low power things Intel still does VERY well. Alderlake isn't bad at low power levels.

Intel has a lot of things going for it. In the consumer/enthusiast space I'd argue they have the better portfolio.

EPYC parts with crazy core counts.
There's definitely some good promos for intel parts (think 12900k + board +32GB RAM at microcenter for $400) but there's more exciting things from AMD on the whole right now.

Might be worth jumping onto X3D version of Zen 5 though, but that's likely 6-12 months out.
