With a crappy cable line coming in, I'd have Cocks come out and run a new line from the pole, and it might as well be to a better location on your house this time.

In my area at least, Comcast marketing is part of the problem. For years they blasted ads with "the fastest in-home wifi" and it took me many years to realize they weren't bragging about some fancy APs they were offering. Like I always just rolled my eyes and said who the fuck uses the router they give you anyway. But now it makes a little more sense.
As a photography assistant, I have:
Driven the car.
Unloaded and set up gear.
Driven to Home Depot to buy decor.
Inventory/charge/empty/dump batteries and memory cards before and after shoots to make sure we never have a chance of running out of anything or losing data.
Book travel plans and rental gear.
Answered questions from clients, collected payments/deposits, fended off botherers
Ordered the food.
Dumped and organized the files.
Ensured backups are running.
Waved meat and cheese in front of subjects.
Etc.
