I got a “dry” promotion at my last position, and obviously I took it. I then put my new title on my Resume, when job hunting for a few months and found a new position that came with a 20%+ pay raise.

I’m actually a big fan of promotions that don’t include raises, because it shows that your employer doesn’t actually value you as an employee, and enables you to get a much larger raise at a new company compared to whatever raise your current employer would’ve given you if they cared at all about retention.

Unfortunately for you, I’ve made a meme where you’re the Soyjak and I’m the Chad, checkmate https://sh.itjust.works/pictrs/image/eb1b56cc-d921-4f6b-ad67-08fc1f595f27.jpeg

Sideloading’s possible and surprisingly easy on iOS even for non-technical folks, I use AltStore but I thinks there’s other options. Don’t know what I’d without uYou+ or TikTok LRD

Classic whatabout-ism:

  • “I think we need a solution to an issue”
  • “What about this completely different issue that has absolutely nothing to do with what you just said? Checkmate idiot”

Even if there was some secure, hardened way of verifying people’s ages without handing over PII to random websites, these age verification laws are still utterly ridiculous.

It’s not the government’s job to parent your kids on the internet. If you don’t want your kids visiting specific websites or viewing specific content, you take 15 minutes out of your goddamn day to do your job as a parent, and set up a content blocker on your home network.
