I saw TF3 perform with the Austin Symphony a few years ago. Their rendition of Hallelujah brought me to tears it was so beautiful.

Pre-pandemic, I used to use Wingz for my occasional trips to ABIA. Has anybody used them recently? How are they doing?

I love the Paramount theater. I just don't like seeing shows there. It is brutally uncomfortable. And the audiences are often awful.

The State, on the other hand is one of my favorite places for shows. And I've seen all sorts of things there. Trained cats. A live re-enactment of Jurassic Park. A somewhat impromptu performance by the creator of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

Long live the State Theater.

I was over in the Mueller area when the street takeover occurred. Although Barton Springs & Lamar got the most notice, there were multiple locations around town. It was scary -- and I pray no emergency traffic into the nearby Dell Children's Center was disrupted. I'm glad to see these idiots held to account.

This article is not based on serious data. Companies do this kind of thing so they get lots of press and unearned publicity. Somebody just took the change from the last census and multiplied it to the end of the century. This isn't science, it's a bad Excel spreadsheet. Growth rates are not constant or predictable that way. In fact, Austin's growth rate currently is receding.

"You may have seen the video online of a man taking a swing at CBS Austin's morning meteorologist in a road rage altercation. Avery Tomasco posted the video to show how volatile these interactions can be and to vouch for dash cams."

The hail stones were quarter-sized in North Shoal Creek. I wonder what my car is going to look like tomorrow morning.

One of the reasons I'm willing to pay is because I want the creators I watch to get the revenue to make more videos. (Although, without knowing for sure, I'd bet they get more off sponsorships than they do out of subscriptions or inserted ads.)

I'm with you ... except for the music part. I think their music service is so awful, I pay for a Tidal subscription even though I get YouTube Music for free.

I'm of the belief that if I'm going to use a commercial site regularly, and they have a reasonable subscription, then I'm very willing to pay.

But in either case, ima going to block ads.
