I use Reaper. I probably don't use as many of its features as would be useful for me if it was more obvious how to do them, and sometimes I export to Ableton for certain tasks, and it's sometimes a problem that I don't use Logic (collaborating with other musicians and they have to send me stems instead of a whole project). I was originally going to say that Reaper does the job just fine for me, but having typed out these three points I'm now thinking I might just be stuck in my ways lol!

I’m interested (but not very experienced) in making music with code, as in ChucK, and making music with nodes and branches, as in Midinous, but not randomly generated music. I would be interested in chatting with others about music with code and music with nodes, but I don’t already know a community for that. :)

I love that you put into words the difference between designed to be mobile, vs just small!

LOL that's funny :D Thanks for the reddit lore!

Haha I actually did that for a second, my first inclination was that the upvote was unearned, but then I realized, of course I agree with my own post! lol

Ah, I answered my own question. This post was upvoted the moment it existed!

I'm just wondering how upvotes work. I noticed that I already had one upvote on each of my comments and assumed someone else had done it, then noticed that the up arrow button was blue, implying that I had done it. Do you automatically upvote your own comments, or did I press something by accident? heh :)

Hello, I didn't come from Reddit, I came from Mastodon. Thanks for setting this up! :D
