If it helps, the cut of meat you use for it is a cheap one and shouldn't set you back much. Pretty much the only way it's usable is by frying it. It's not chicken, but beef. There's also chicken fried chicken, which has a confusing name, but is just chicken cooked in the same manner as chicken fried steak.

Both are best served with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli.

Edit: I misunderstood. You know it's not chicken. Sorry, I'm on my second beer lol. Anyway, I think you'd like both dishes. I'm from the Southern US and it's a common food here. One of my absolute favorites.

Had a lot of Field Day fun this weekend (imgur.com)
 

Went out to Cherry Creek State Park (K-1213) with a buddy and played radio. I took my buddipole but couldn’t get it to tune up because I forgot to charge my VNA. Luckily I brought an EFHW that I strung up to the buddipole’s tripod.

I only worked 10 contacts in 4 hours. 8 SSB and 2 CW, but it was fun. I forgot how awesome operating from a park is, and I want to get back into POTA!

I'm going to go with Scientific Principles of Strength Training. A lot of good stuff in there. I have Boris Sheiko's book but haven't started it yet. I've heard it's not so great but I love his programming so picked it up anyway.

What are some others that are good, informative reads?

What are your field day plans? (lemmy.ml)
 

If it’s not too muddy, I plan on going out to a nearby park and operating portable on emergency power by myself or maybe with a buddy. If it is muddy, I’ll try setting up in my backyard. I’m hoping to get a lot of good CW practice in!

I've tried https://lemmy.ml and just lemmy.ml as the server but I can't sign in. It has been this way ever since I downloaded the app last week.

Am I doing something wrong?

I want to change all my reddit comments to point to Lemmy before deleting my account. What's the best way to do that? (lemmy.ml)
 

Title. I plan on deleting my account soon but want all my comments to point people to lemmy. I know there are several ways to do so but I can't remember what they are. I did a search here before posting but nothing related came up.

I'm planning on changing my comments to something like:

but is there something better I can say?

Buttons disappearing in darkly theme (lemmy.ml)

Has anyone else had the upvote/downvote buttons, along with the post & comment toolbars disappear when using the darkly theme? They're still there, because if you click in the right spot you can get where you want, they just seem to be black on black. You can still see them if you switch to lightly or lightly red.

I'm using the latest version of Edge if that matters.

Edit: Switching the theme setting around seems to have fixed it, actually.

Got it up and running this weekend but didn't have the mounting hardware until this morning. Just now got it mounted and am loving it!

It's highly customizable and each of those windows you see can display quite a few different things.

Anyone have recommendations on how to hide the power & HDMI cable?

In the mlem community, I clicked on this post:

I was shown the title and post abouta protest taking place at Reddit HQ and in Ireland. You can see in the screenshot, the post doesn't really match the community and you can see it was posted to the Reddit community. The comments were all about the mlem app.

There was another post I saw earlier today about someone being shown another user's page when refreshing. Very interesting.
