To be fair, my reference only was my very American husband who told me that the plate feels very nostalgic to him lol

Thank you! I was a bit lazy so I just threw on olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, a little bit of paprika and chili powder, and salt and pepper

Baked potatoes topped with crumble and a cheesy white sauce, baked beans (fresh from the microwave), and baked asparagus. This was my second attempt baking potatoes and asparagus and I loved it!

Fried rice is as simple as it can be but I threw mine together based on what’s in the fridge and pantry. There’s tofu, carrots, broccoli, mushrooms, onion, garlic, and brown rice. The sauce/seasoning is soy sauce, peanut butter, gochujang, sesame oil, and a clove of minced garlic. Topped it with green onions, kinchi, and sesame seeds

Chunky everything because I was too lazy to dice lol

It could be because the people in her life (especially the masculine figures) aren’t the type to actually do chores without the initial request/push by another person. It’s some kind of shock and it could be seen as an attractive trait. Same feeling I got when I entered a healthy relationship with someone who’s not a slob. Doing chores is bare minimum though

Straight into a dry hot pan works pretty well too! I found that the umami flavor is better when oil is added after they’ve shrunk

Thanks! Here’s the recipe

I didn’t add milk to the one in the photo but I do remember it going well with all the combination of ingredients. In my opinion, the milk complements the savory soup. You can choose to add or subtract items from the recipes. Cooking has always been a fun experiment c:

Made the potato-carrot mac and cheese sauce, tofu-egg salad, homemade chickwheat deli slices. Quick assembly! Already shared this with the Discord crowd lol

Noodles and Wontons (lemmy.world)
submitted 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

Handmade noodles and tofu veggie wontons. Took me too much time but it was worth it! Broth had peanut butter, sesame oil, and soy sauce.

Edit: Here are the recipes I got each soup item from:

  1. Noodles - only used the noodle recipe
  2. Broth - added and subtracted items because I didn’t have all the ingredients from the recipe
  3. Wonton filling - I used the filling recipe for this one. If you don’t have time for making your own wrappers, wontons are fine too. I recommend a pastry brush to help apply the water on the edges for sealing.

~50 wontons took me 3-4 hours to make. The noodles takes 2.5 hours and the broth takes about 5 minutes of prep.

Thank you I’ll use the better name next time lol

Made the burgers from cooked and blended soy chunks. Made the mung egg too.
