@mesamunefire lovely to see @phanpy get a new round of excitement, its really one of the best interfaces to "social media" on that I have ever used...

@julian wow this is so good! Really impressed to see how far out of your way you went to make this work, shows how much care you are putting into this project... Will be interesting to see if any other fedi forum software take this same approach now that you managed to make it work.

@[email protected] @[email protected] here's the thread that originally lead to @[email protected]'s suggestion of the asterism https://social.wake.st/@liaizon/108974105137722178

There have been a number of other places that this idea have been discussed but no not a formal study posted anywhere. Though that would be interesting

@[email protected] @[email protected] @[email protected] I meant the page https://symbol.fediverse.info but I see what you mean I somehow didn't realize the purpose of the explorations were that narrow. This initiative started as a study of issues that were arising from the use of :fediverse: and how the image works in various contexts and what to do about it. It actually started as a poll.

Hey @[email protected], maybe you would be interested in including @[email protected] new initiative in @[email protected]?

@cerement came across this video on youtube and had the fediverse discussion leaded into the YT interface through https://github.com/Xyl-AU/Reddit-Comments-for-YouTube (which seems to be removed?! even though I still have it installed)

happy to see an active discussion on this side about this video!

hey @anonradio, just noticed you have no image set for your stream

not sure where the best place to set it is but its showing up as the default wordpress logo

you can look here for where many of the players get the radio streams at https://www.radio-browser.info/history/ca1e7a89-6ce8-11e8-b15b-52543be04c81

really great to see the new @plantid group! this is the type of thing the fediverse is perfect for.

I think mastodon webfinger search is broken by the newest lemmy release

I can no longer look up lemmy posts by their url from mastodon. I am checking and it seems instances that haven't updated still work but the ones on v18 don't work

@lemmy @LemmyDev

Can you post to multiple Lemmy communities at once from Mastodon?

I recently made a post from here and tagged three communities in it, on three different Lemmy instances, but it only made it to the first one. Is this just how it is suppose to work? And regardless how does this mechanism work? Does it get posted to the first one tagged and then the others deny it? Or was it a synchronicity that my post just didn't federated to the second two?

There are now multiple browser extensions to redirect outgoing links to subs in the threadiverse to your local instance of choice

Kbin Linker Extension
https://github.com/daniel-lxs/kbin-link

Lemmy Linker Extension
https://github.com/FackJox/lemmy-link

This is a major downside to how federation works currently and something we shouldn't need extensions for, but as a stopgap solution I am glad they exist.
