Pretty much the title. If you are, why do you remain on a platform that has become such a dumpster-fire of mis- and dis-information?

A new study suggests that tobacco companies, who were skilled at marketing cigarettes, used similar strategies to hook people on processed foods. (adding archive link here: https://archive.ph/cRRVa)

The Beekeeper of Aleppo , a 2019 novel by Christy Lefteri. It deals with the plight of refugees from Aleppo in Syria to Europe during the Syrian Civil War. While a work of fiction, it is based on the author's experience over two summers volunteering in Athens at a refugee center.

There are more than cultural differences. WeChat is a surveillance app for the masses by the State. This is not an exaggeration.

I have used many Linux distros, Old-school RedHat (floppy days) Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, Mint, etc. I used to like messing around with the kernel and configs, etc. Now I just want something that works so that I can get to work. I installed Pop_OS on an old Microsoft Surface about 3 weeks ago and I have been very impressed. It was simple to install, has a pleasing interface design, and no bloat software. I'm going to keep using it for my desktop and highly recommend it.

In a large metropolitan area in the Mid-Atlantic region of the USA. The city itself has a decent bike program but not the wider area

The less of a plan they have the more effective they are at destruction.

I am still working full-time remote. There are definitely some social aspects of going to the office I miss, but I really don't miss the commute or the shitty office politics. Overall I feel I am still more productive from home and happier overall.

Stats:
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7300U CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.71 GHz
Installed RAM 8.00 GB
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Hardrive 117 GB
Pen and touch Pen and touch support with 10 touch points

If the system looks good, any install tips would be welcome.

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question but it pretty much says it all in the title. I've read a few guides but they don't seem to answer my questions about posting. I quit Facebook and Twitter over 10 years ago and this is my first social media account since then.
