@juergen_[email protected] you made me pine for Wernigerrode... I wonder whether that excellent second-hand bookshop sill exists.

@[email protected] @[email protected] Not the worst, nor the best, but the most remarkable, for me, was Glasgow, 2007. I came because I had to hand over an Akademy Award, but within an hour of my arrival, a terrorist attack happened at the airport,
My luggage was lost.
So, day before the ceremony, I went to one of the few open dry goods shops, and told the girl, "I need everything. Underwear. Shirtings. Suit. Belt. Shoes. Accessories. Bring me everything."
I was quite natty, handing out the award that night.
@JRepin @[email protected] @[email protected] For me, it was Tampere. It just felt special, maybe because there also was a cosplay convention going on, and I met my first unicorn ๐
@juergen_[email protected] I don't remember the name... I got a copy of the gesamtwerke of Eduard Moerike there. It is or was in the same street as the very nice butcher/perpared meals shop, when turning left from the town hall if you have your back to it ๐
(If my memories are correct, it's been years, of course.)
