I have exactly this motherboard with a 14700KF. It doesn't support it out of the box, but I did the bios flashback procedure and it went fine.

$6k "HEDT" threadrippers and sapphire rapids have entered the chat. Gone are the days of $1k or even $2k Extreme Edition, indeed.

Faced the same choice, went for a 14700KF (have the GPU already), the price gap is not worth the 4 E cores.
