A spin on Black Friday, emphasizing products ending in “Aaar”, like a pirate would say. Because pirates like black flags :)

Hey self hosters!

For "Black Flagday", ElfHosted is offering 80% off our hosted Arrs, taking them down to $0.01/day. With the $10 free credit that all new users get, you can try without commitment, and $0.01/day will last you a long time!

What is ElfHosted?

ElfHosted hosts popular self-hosted apps for you, providing the infrastructure, security, resiliency, and connectivity, freeing you to focus on using the apps themselves.

How is this self-hosted?

Our infrastructure is open-source, and is based on the Funky Penguin's Geek Cookbook's self-hosted Kubernetes design. Our charts and containers are public, and are useful as a reference / template to self-hosting your app stacks on bare-metal Kubernetes.

Why am I posting about a paid, SaaS service on r/selfhosted?

Because you could use your $10 free credit to "kick the tyres" on various apps before investing in self-hosting it yourself, or you may want to "outsource" one specific app (say, Overseerr), and hook it into the rest of your self-hosted apps.

Any questions, I'm happy to discuss here or in our Discord (https://discord.elfhosted.com)

Cheers! D

If you're wanting a learning resource (rather than having it "Just Work"), may I offer https://geek-cookbook.funkypenguin.co.nz/docker-swarm/ ? It's my opinionated process on building out a swarm, much like you describe :)

I like writing docs in markdown, and using mkdocs with mkdocs-material for this. With a bit of trickery, you can do templating / transclusion, and you get a useful search too.
