Do know why you use Telegram but you shouldn't use it...

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 hours ago

Right, looks great BUT... It's a shit

[-] [email protected] 5 points 7 hours ago

Yeah so clean (On my side it's just loading the fucking CloudFlare stuff.. But there's nothing more)

[-] [email protected] 1 points 7 hours ago

You're right, but I would prefer to use something that isn't relaying on any type of company, my go-to is SimpleX, fully decentralized and you can run your own server. Just great I think

[-] [email protected] 2 points 1 day ago

I've found that SimpleX is one the best option, it use the Signal protocol + more and has really robust anonymity (in fact it's Signal but without inconvenients) Threema is a company, you shouldn't use it

That could be great! Alternative to firefox!

EU approval for chat control (www.patrick-breyer.de)
submitted 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

We need to do something against this. The EU plans to apply a law for a chat control in the territory. The approval say that all the chats and the emails would be send to the government to do AI scanning to in fact “find the children abuses”, even when using apps with end-to-end encryption (the EU will ask the services to open their secrets keys… we know that Microsoft, Google and Facebook have already agreed to this. On the other hand Signal for example had said that they would leave the EU if this law will be applied). We need to counter this, because this restrict the privacy and the security of the citizens. Even if you’re not living in the EU, you should take a look because that could encourage others to do the same! Please take a look of the situation and make you your own idea of the case. Find out here the votes results for now, by countries and more... mepwatch.eu

Some others organizations criticized the approval, a open letter/petition was posted here : globalencryption.org

PS : I know that this was posted on the community a bit before (https://lemmy.world/post/16093632) but I think this is really important and the people should know it. That's a really regrettable decision for the population. thx

Hello, always wanted to know the absolute best to have the most private (and secure) browser, need tips for android and linux. I think Firefox based browser are the best choice but i'm open to recommendations!! THX

[-] [email protected] 38 points 1 month ago

Maybe for app banking app (and even...), it could be understanding but for instagram, NEVER! Even for security reason... Bro they don't care about anything on their network, allow soft porn and all that kind of stuff. And after all of that they are going to come to say that it is for security reasons 😂 Stay on the "libre" web, Lemmy is a great start! 👌
