It's probably the best subscription I have for the price, so I don't really mind a small increase.

I'm so smart because I can see flaws with my country. So much better than all those normies.

I don't understand. How is Lemmy not a form of social media?

"Please use at least 3 sentences". I can't even.

Great idea for a community

Not to divert too much from your point, but Reddit was a progressive and intelligent community? Thanks for the laugh haha

Something happens. Let's make it about America!

Right? I really wanted to leave midway but my friends were there too. I'm a big fan of surrealist literature but that movie just couldn't do it for me.

Is that it? I definitely do it in the bathroom when nobody else is around multiple times a day.

I don't think people should drive for the simple reason that for most of history, we never experienced traveling at such high speeds. We don't have the reaction time required to handle that, especially when the stakes are so high.

Does anyone know any good cafes/pubs where one can work on a laptop for a while when they're not busy?

Preferably somewhere with Wi-Fi and a patio.

You won't win this argument here though. These people don't know the difference between conservativism and US Republicanism.

I think you bring up very good examples. The communists in China with their cultural revolution is another example of progressive policies gone wrong. Children undergoing sex change operations and later regretting it could possibly be viewed as one in a few decades. (Examples of these do exist and their stories are heartbreaking.)

I always thought tipping $1 a beer was the norm. Unfortunately, the waitress looked disappointed when I gave her $3 for three beers. Maybe it's because it was table service at a touristy pub? What do you guys think?
