Haha yes! If you love slop, you'll love the Instant Pot!

Though, all I use mine for these days is cooking dried beans or making stock. Which I use to make slop.

I moved out here in 2013. The person I was with at the time wanted to get out of the Midwest, and it was between Portland and NYC. I felt that Portland was more my speed, and 10 years and a few relationships later, I'm still stoked with my choice! Making meaningful, long term friendships has been a challenge for this introvert, but I'm happy to be here while I figure that out!

Banning banning things is my kind of freedom!

There's a lot to unpack in this scenario, but without knowing anything about previous trust issues in your relationship or any shame or other feelings your partner may have towards food/weight/body image, I think it comes down to that we are all need private moments in our lives to maintain our sanity.

I got this. "Hey investors, if we do this we'll maximize our profits in the long run and minimize our losses in the short run."

Taking summer classes at a new university, heading to NYC for a week, lots of reading and writing, and hopefully a little camping. Hectic and rewarding is my goal!

Final Fantasy VI, AKA Final Fantasy III, as it was called stateside when I first played it in the 90s (I bought it at Media Play, anyone remember that?).

Great cast of recruitable characters that isn't too large, in my opinion, and the Esper system is pretty great. Also, for me, one of the most impactful JRPG storylines of all time.

Have fun, whatever you choose! It's a great genre, but time consuming. If a game doesn't click for you within 15 or so hours, it may not be one for you.

I have a sinking feeling that these moves are not about money, but more about power and manipulation. If you squeeze these user bases such that the savviest users are forced out, those more likely to ask "Why?" about damn near anything, you will own access to a group of people that can be influenced to think/do/buy whatever the top management and/or majority shareholders want. If you lose a few million users, what does it matter if they were dissidents to your goals?

Reddit gets maybe 15 minutes a day from me at this point. I'm not even sure I want a replacement for it. I'll be removing my reddit app from the phone on blackout day. Maybe I'll reinstall, maybe I won't.

This place seems nice, though.

Hello all! I'm in my early 40s, living in the PNW. I've been a bartender most of my adult life, and got a liver transplant not too long ago. I've been spending my time since recovering from nearly dying, going back to school for a career change, and in general being more mindful of how I want to spend my limited time in existence.

I just started reading The Demon-Haunted World! I'm currently on the titular chapter. I'm reading a few pages every night before bed. Nothing like some critical thinking to get yourself ready for sleep!
