There is usually basic over discharge protection in the flashlight circuitry and over charge protection for lights with on light charging.

This usually works in conjunction with the protection circuit on the batteries.

18650 batteries (and other sizes) have become more wide spread because of the increased safety of protected batteries.

The batteries OP wants to use are unprotected cells who's manufacturer is unknown, actual capacity is questionable and how they have been handled is unknown.

This is why you back up your data!

I use both Timeshift and Lucky Backup.

Timeshift is setup to back up the entire OS and user data and fire off a backup when updating (onto an internal drive).

Lucky Backup has been setup to do a one way sync of my user folders (doc's, download, pictures, videos etc) onto an external drive.

There is a large update coming down the line soon so it may be in that version.

The dev was most likely targeting Lemmy version 19.xx for feature updates and had to wait for it to be stable and most instances updated to 19.

I know Lemmy.world has only recently updated to 19 as it was released then about 4 or 5 point releases came out in a single month.

I have a 1 year old Tonkinese cat. When she was younger she was known for her toxic flatulence (I swear that she knocked out a golden retriever with her farts).

But after changing her food to Fussy Cat grainfree dry biscuits along with Fussy Cat raw beef mince the farts have disappeared.

The smelly poops may be from her gut not liking the food, I would suggest getting small bags in a few different reputable brands and see what she goes for and try giving a quality pet raw meat as a soft food replacement.

As for the litter it may be too fine for it to cover up everything to her liking, I have used clay litter for years with several cats without issue.

And lastly the tray may not allow enough digging room to cover things. I have used trays with removable raised lips like this one with good results. If you are wanting it enclosed you can get furniture that holds the tray and accessories out of sight but easily accessible for cleaning.

Recharging the chaos batteries.

The only thing you have to do is be a bed for kitty.

Anything else is no longer a concern for you.

I had been expecting this.

Lemmy itself is still a work in progress and the new version apparently makes some major changes from the current version.

Sync is currently in a usable stable state so instead of squashing bugs in the current Sync version it was a better use of their dev time to work on a build for 0.19.

Unfortunately Apple seems to be actively working to make sure that the only way an iPod can be loaded with music is by using iTunes which is only supported on Mac or Windows.

You have a few of options on how to move forward:

1: Make a Windows virtual machine, install iTunes onto it and pass the iPod though to the VM.

2: Install Rockbox (if able) onto the device to enable it to act as a USB mass storage device allowing drag n drop loading of music.

3: Sell the iPod and get one of the many different digital audio players available on the market as most are OS agnostic (they show up as a USB mass storage device) and most use MicroSD cards to store the music meaning you can move the card to a new player as you upgrade later (so you are not locked to one vendor).

That's because laptop (and some desktop motherboard) manufacturers love to cut costs wherever they can so they end up using some weird non standard sound card from Billy Bob's discount computer parts because they know they can require the use of drivers to band aid over the shitty hardware with a software fix.

Then when using Linux it tends to either not work or have shit sound until some kind soul adds in a config file for the devices sound card.

As others have said there are a couple of options that may or may not work as Apple loves to make sure that their products only work with their software and a lot of them haven't been updated in years.

For ease of use you can install Rockbox on a good number of iPod devices, that will allow you to drag and drop music onto the device without having to use software to load the music.

If you are wanting an even easier option, you could sell your iPod and get one of the many different Digital audio player options that use microSD cards to store the music files allowing for ease of storage upgrades, ease of moving to a new device and being OS agnostic as they show up as a USB mass storage device.

I use a Fiio M7 as my daily driver with either a set of Jade audio EW1 TWS earphones or FiiO JH3 IEM's & I have an older Fiio X3 2gen connected up to a dock for playing music in my living room.
