Doorbell transformers are cheap (20 bucks at home depot).

  1. Find the breaker that feeds the doorbell
  2. Change the transformer
  3. Measure the AC voltage of the two wires that feeds the chime, it should be 16-24v depending on the transformer.
  4. Reconnect the ring as per instructions.
