Watch me drive slower than everyone else pressuring them into overtaking me thus increasing the chances of a collision because the government put up a sign that said so.

You're barely even saving any fuel. Maintaining speed uses much less fuel than getting up to speed, and depending on the gearing and aerodynamics of the car it may even be more efficient to cruise above whatever the speed limit happens to be. You're probably costing all the people who have to overtake you a bit of extra fuel, though.

Go the common speed as long as it's within the realm of reason. This is day 1 of driver's ed, people.

No clue where you live, but in the southeast US the mosquitoes aren't nearly as bad in winter, in my experience.

It's impossible to survive and be productive or do anything useful in the fucking heat.

Everyone who lives anywhere near the equator, most farmers, Australians, and the entire African continent might take exception to that claim. You can say you prefer the cold all you like, and that's fine, but this sound like a you problem.

Any reason you don't buy one? If summer is so hard it seems like a good investment. You can even get the portable kinds that are way easier to install.

Being hot and sweaty is uncomfortable, granted.

But there's a point where the cold is outright physically painful. And unless you're wearing a full face mask, you're pretty much always going to have some part of yourself exposed.

You also have to weigh the discomfort of being hot against the discomfort of wearing a ton of heavy clothing, and even all the time wasted pulling on and taking off coats, hats, & etc. every time you to outside.

For me, summer wins every time.

Yes, my comment is assuming if Trump loses this year, I'd bet he'll try for a second term in 2028.

While the servers are the ones getting most of the tips, they have no control over this. Its entirely the point of sale processor (clover, square, etc.) who push it. They get a ~3% cut of the total transaction; if you tip then it's a bigger transaction and their cut is a little bigger too.

This plan makes servers lives worse but doesn't incentivise the people actually in charge to change anything.

My new rule is if I'm swiping the card, I'm not tipping. It's arbitrary, and I'm sure that wait staff could use the cash, but it's gotten unsustainable.

  1. Most people who want him to drop out were never going to vote for him anyway.

  2. People (perhaps erroneously) perceive a chance of Biden actually doing it. Trump will never drop out as winning the presidency is his only shot at avoiding incarceration. He'll probably run again in 2028 if he's still around by then.

  3. Trump isn't incumbent, meaning the GOP already had a full primary in the past year. They've already determined they don't have a better alternative. Technically the Dems could have nominated someone other than Biden, but it was never a very likely possibility, so people aren't as familiar with Democratic alternatives.

  4. Republicans either don't believe any of the criticisms you made of Trump are true, are okay with them, still believe him to be the lesser of two evils, or some combination of these. This is largely due to right-wing propaganda e.g. Fox News, OAN, Info Wars, etc.

I'm no expert, these are just what I perceive to be happening. There's probably other factors at play as well.

Edit: with the recent supreme court rulings, I'm guessing that he may be able to avoid jail even if he doesn't win. I still don't see any chance he'll drop out.
