Pyongyang, October 18 (KCNA) -- The following is the press statement of Kim Yo Jong, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, titled "Do not spout absurd remarks":

We cannot but call the clan of the ROK as a really weird one.

The head of the information office of its Joint Chiefs of Staff, at a regular news briefing on Thursday, talked about "copyright" all of a sudden while grumbling about the measure taken by us to completely block the roads and railways connected to the ROK near the southern border of the DPRK physically.

He asserted that one of the three photos of explosion released by KCNA was the one taken by the ROK and we disregarded the copyright by using it without permission.

The ROK seemingly doesn't know what the blasting carried by us means and what imminent severe security crisis it faces, ignorant of the essence of the current situation. No wonder, it has gone as foolish as to hype a "rumor about photo," something completely irrelevant to the matter.

Dancing to that tune, media and so-called experts are busy with a detailed analysis, talking about "camera angle" and "shape of smoke".

They have nothing to do more significant, haven't they?

Their behavior makes even a cat laugh.

I would like to inform those idiots of the fact that the photo is a screenshot from one of the video clips released by NBC, Fox News, Reuters and other foreign media.

We cannot take a photo at that angle. So we used that photo, finding that it met our intention, being visually good and excellent in composition.

Is it problematic?

Hasn't the ROK used the photos and video clips released by KCNA when airing the news about us?

Then a question arises as to whether the ROK thought about a violation of international law and copyright when reporting the news about us with our photos and video clips.

It is their unreasonable criterion that nothing matters when they do so but when we do it, it is a violation of international law and copyright. I would like to make them unable to say anything more at once.

According to our initial investigation, Yonhap News, Kyunghyang Daily News and other media of the puppet ROK all abused the two photos of explosion opened to public by us for their news report.

It seems that it is necessary to probe into whether our approval was secured in the ROK where international law is allegedly well observed.

This is just chicanery peculiar to the ROK, the country without a parallel in the world in abusing international law, international standard, principle and generally accepted value for their benefits and hurting others.

Its Joint Chiefs of Staff in charge of defending security of its country should properly investigate the grave violation of the sovereignty and security of our Republic first, instead of disgracing itself by engaging in such a deed unbecoming to its position as photo assessment.

They will be watched until they refrain from dodging and feigning ignorance.

Explicitly speaking once again, we are clearly aware that the ROK has severely violated our sovereignty.

Curiosity arises as to how much they will get for shirking responsibility and letting out nonsense.

Statement of Spokesperson for DPRK Foreign Ministry

Pyongyang, October 6 (KCNA) -- A spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea issued the following statement titled "NATO, a freak brought up by U.S. extreme double logic and double standards, should be thrown into dump of history as soon as possible" on Sunday:

NATO in its recent statement let loose a string of extremely unreasonable remarks that it condemns all countries fostering and extending the Ukrainian war while groundlessly slandering the independent cooperative relations between sovereign states including the DPRK.

The publication of the statement timed to coincide with the visit by the new NATO secretary general to Ukraine clearly shows that NATO is going to appear on the first-line trench of the anti-DPRK confrontation front, not content with extremely taking advantage of its boss's hostile policy toward the DPRK.

The Foreign Ministry of the DPRK expresses strong regret at the fact that NATO, no more than a tool of the U.S. for war, slandered the intensified legal cooperation between independent sovereign states while distorting the essence of the Ukrainian incident, and resolutely denounces and rejects it.

Far from seriously repenting of its mistake in creating the Ukrainian incident, NATO, the very one which exposed the security environment in the European region to the grave crisis called outbreak of a nuclear war, is going to shift the blame for it onto others and justify its policy of aggression. This is just the same as the shameless act of the U.S. engrossed in extreme double standards and illogical way of thinking.

It is none other than the U.S. which is confusing right and wrong while insisting that its arms buildup and war drills involving even its mainland forces aiming at a specified state in the Korean peninsula are for "defending freedom" and the exercise of the right to self-defence and essential defence activities taken by the DPRK to cope with them are for "threatening peace".

NATO has been spending an astronomical amount of military expenses on the offer of lethal equipment to Ukraine and openly inciting it to attacks on the Russian territory. However it is taking up a gangster-like logic that their war acts are an effort for "preventing" war and the establishment of normal relations between sovereign states is an act of fostering and extending war, which is just like a guilty party filing the suit first and a bad habit disseminated by the U.S.

We are strictly fixing our eyes on the reality in which a war monster called NATO that should have disappeared from the arena of history along with the end of the Cold War last century is stretching its black tentacles to the Korean peninsula and the Asia-Pacific region in order to provide another justification in the wake of playing a war gamble called the Ukrainian incident to find a justification for existence of itself stained with blood.

It is the biggest geopolitical tragedy that NATO, a product of the U.S. ambition for hegemony which is based on the gangster-like double logic and double standards and has lived on the escalation of tension and war moves, is still existent.

The provocative acts of NATO getting more undisguised on the Korean peninsula and in the Asia-Pacific region according to the U.S. illogical thinking and scenario only bring into bold relief the reason for its thorough death, not the additional justification for existence of the ill-famed war specter.

If NATO continues to try hard to infringe upon the dignity, sovereignty, security and interests of the DPRK while persistently pursuing hostile policy toward it, NATO blindly following the U.S. will be held wholly responsible for the tragic consequences to be entailed by it.

The DPRK will continue to make important efforts to defend itself from the hostile threat of the U.S. and its followers, preserve regional peace and security and build a multi-polarized world based on international justice. -0-

I'm writing this post because it's getting very low ratings. From the reviews that I read, many people say it doesn't meet their expectations of what a superhero movie should be.

I'm not a capeshit enjoyer. I chose to see Joker 2 because Joker 1 had vague themes of "defunding welfare programs is bad". In the first movie, Joker loses access to his mental illness medication because the politicians defund the welfare programs and that leads Joker to start doing crimes.

What I liked about Joker 2 is that everyone around him wants to make him miserable, but instead he chooses to be happy. In my opinion, it is the most pure example of absurdity. The whole world wants to make Joker miserable and he is powerless to change other people, but he can deny giving the world what they want so he chooses to laugh. I find that to be entertaining.

The movie was about 60% musical. Whenever Joker starts to hallucinate, everyone starts singing. I think it was okay, but other people did not like that. You probably won't like the movie if you are expecting it to follow the superhero movie formula.

Spokesperson for Foreign Ministry of DPRK Gives Answers

Pyongyang, October 1 (KCNA) -- A spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea gave the following answer to a question raised by KCNA on Tuesday as regards the fact that Israel's recent large-scale military attack and terrorist acts against Lebanon caused huge casualties:

Israel is resorting to massacre, terrorism and assassination, talking about the "right to self-defence" and "security". Its brutality and shamelessness are arousing great hatred and resentment of the international community.

It is a hideous war crime and unethical crime that Israel killed many civilians by committing indiscriminate military attack and terrorist acts against Lebanon.

Not content with the thrice-cursed massacre that stunned the world people in Gaza Strip of Palestine, Israel which is now encroaching upon the right of the Arab people to existence in the Middle East including Lebanon and the U.S. manipulating it are, indeed, the cancer-like entities of regional peace and stability and the common enemy of the Arab people.

The key to ensuring durable peace in the region of the Middle East is to guarantee the legitimate national right of the Palestinian people to establishing an independent state and put an end to Israel's invasion and hostile acts against the Arab countries as soon as possible.

We strongly denounce Israel which is expanding its large-scale massacre of innocent civilians to the whole Middle East and the organizational heinous terrorist acts of the U.S. which guards the former, and express invariable support and solidarity to the Arab people in their struggle for defending sovereignty, right to existence and territorial integrity. -0-

Pyongyang, September 13 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, inspected the Nuclear Weapons Institute and the production base of weapons-grade nuclear materials, acquainted himself with the production of nuclear warheads and the current production of nuclear materials and set forth important tasks concerning a long-term plan for increasing the production of weapons-grade nuclear materials.

He was accompanied by Hong Sung Mu, first deputy department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

He highly praised the scientists, technicians and officials in the field of nuclear weapons production for carrying out without fail the plan for producing weapons-grade nuclear materials needed for manufacturing nuclear warheads, cherishing the firm and steadfast revolutionary spirit and faith to firmly defend the victorious advance of the revolutionary cause of Juche with the strongest nuclear force.

He went round the control room of the uranium enrichment base to learn about the operation of production lines in all aspects.

He expressed great satisfaction after being briefed on the fact that the base is dynamically producing nuclear materials by studying, developing and introducing all the system elements including centrifugal separators and various kinds of sensors and controllers with its own efforts and technology.

Personally looking round the production site, he said that it is invigorating to see the place, and continued: In order to exponentially multiply the nuclear weapons for self-defence true to the Party's line of building the nuclear force, it is necessary to further increase the number of centrifuges, not content with the successes achieved, and, at the same time, to enhance the individual separation ability of the centrifuge and push forward with the introduction of a new-type centrifuge, which has already reached the completion stage, as planned, so as to consolidate the foundation for producing weapons-grade nuclear materials.

Going round the construction site for expanding the capacity for the current production of nuclear weapons, he learned in detail about the daily plan for the assembly of equipment.

Expressing great satisfaction repeatedly over the great technological capabilities of the nuclear power field of the DPRK, he said that the WPK has set forth a new important strategy for building up the nuclear force, believing in the combatants in the nuclear power field who have turned out as one with an ardent mind to open up a broad avenue for the revolutionary cause of Juche on the strength of nuclear weapons. The red nuclear scientists faithful to the Party should implement the Party's policy of nuclear force building unconditionally and without an inch of deflection with their strong faith and high practical ability, he encouraged.

Noting that anti-DPRK nuclear threat moves of the U.S. imperialists and their vassal forces have become more undisguised and crossed the red-line, he said the security environment facing the DPRK, the peculiarity of the Korean revolution compelling the country to constantly confront the U.S. and contain it and prospective threats require the DPRK to steadily expand and bolster up its military capability for self-defence and the capability for preemptive attack with the nuclear force as the backbone. He stressed again that a more rapid and sure advance should be made in the struggle to always maintain the thoroughgoing counteraction posture of the nuclear force and improve the posture to a high level.

The combatants in the field of nuclear weapons production, assuming the most important responsibility, that is, the historic mission to bolster up the nuclear war deterrent of the country in quality and quantity and in a sustained and accelerated way, should keep exerting themselves in production and thus more creditably fulfil the sacred duty they took on for the Party and the revolution, he instructed.

He stressed the need to set a higher long-term goal in producing nuclear materials necessary for the manufacture of tactical nuclear weapons and concentrate all efforts on making a fresh leap forward, and set forth important tasks and orientation.

Upon receiving his on-site instructions, all the nuclear combatants made a firm determination to make a great leap forward in implementing the Party's nuclear strategy and line by absolutely and firmly guaranteeing the continuous and successful birth of powerful Korean-style nuclear weapons, bearing in mind the deep trust of Kim Jong Un, who put them forward on the outpost of the sacred struggle as he further bolsters the world’s strongest nuclear arsenal which will steadfastly defend the independent development of the state, the happy life and safety of the people and the road ahead for the Juche revolution. -0-
