Hi,

Crystal Dock v2.1 is out now!

What it is: Crystal Dock is a cool dock (desktop panel) for Linux desktop, with the focus on attractive user interface, being simple and easy to use, and cross-desktop support.

The current version (version 2.x) supports KDE Plasma 6 on Wayland. Other desktop environments will be considered when they run on Wayland and provide sufficient APIs.

Change log:

New features:

Floating style: this feature can be turned on/off from the dock's context menu and the floating margin can be set from the Appearance Settings dialog.

Bugs fixed:

Fixed a bug where Sets All Desktops on a window makes it disappear from the dock.
Fixed a bug where a window that demands attention could have its dock icon flashing even after it has been looked at, until the dock reloads.
Fixed a bug where setting minimumIconSize larger than maximumIconSize crashes the dock.

Crystal Remix icon theme v2.2 is out now! Also Crystal Dock v2.0 got an RPM binary package.

Crystal Remix icon theme v2.2

Crystal Remix is a Crystal icon theme for modern Linux desktop environments, created from KDE 3's Crystal Project and Crystal Clear icon themes (mainly Crystal Project).

Version 2.2 changelog:

General: Most icons are now available at size 22, 32, 48, 64 and 128 to avoid scaling issues.
KDE Plasma 6: Added some missing icons for system tray.

Crystal Remix, in the most recent versions, uses mostly Crystal Project icons because I also think it's the best one out of the three, and also for consistency reason like you said. I will update the project description to reflect this. I will also try to increase the coverage when possible.

It's not a coincidence that Crystal Dock is similar to KoolDock -- they are both based on my previous dock KSmoothDock which I wrote for KDE3 and KDE Plasma 5. KoolDock was a fork of it during KDE3 time, and Crystal Dock is the successor dock. I changed the name mainly to reflect the change from a KDE-only dock to a cross-desktop KDE-first one.

Thanks a lot! Btw I also prefer the colourful, shiny, detailed style of KDE 3/4, Windows Vista/7, MacOSX 10.0 - 10.9 :)

Hi, yes you can right-click on the clock to show the clock's context menu, then Font Size -> Small Font / Medium Font / Large Font. The default is Large Font so if you select Small Font or Medium Font it will be smaller.

Crystal Remix is a Crystal icon theme for modern Linux desktop environments, created by combining/mixing different versions of the Crystal icon theme (that were originally created for KDE 3 desktop).

Version 2.1 brings updates for KDE Plasma 6.
