The basis of this joke is the Simplified-vs-Traditional character sets for Chinese languages, but, there actually is a thing called Basic English which is sometimes called Simple English and which is used on the Simple English Wikipedia.

i'm pretty sure the recent trend started yesterday with this post, but
@[email protected] was on it two weeks ago and @[email protected] was three months ago
some spammer made 20 accounts on different instances and just made a lot of simultaneous posts with the title that is depicted in this image.
thanks for the laugh OP. and thanks to whoever flagged this so i could see it in the mod queue while resolving the deluge of reports about this spammer.

i see the one for 64 made it past 400 upvotes, so i predict this will eventually make it to 512 but i am skeptical that the next one will be able to reach 1024 without vote stuffing (and please don't do that)
