SponsorBlock takes care of the sponsored segments in youtube videos. There are addons for blocking sponsored search results on amazon too.

You can do almost anything with a website that you could do with an app. The only reason they are pushing the apps so hard is because they can collect a lot more data than a website can.

Almost every Lemmy instance blocked threads.

Even 7zip can compress a large text file to less than 25% of it's original size. The installer is less than 2MB. There are even better compression algorithms for text than 7zip though.

Why would anyone even want to use uBlock Origin Lite on Firefox? It's a stripped down version designed to work with the limitations of manifest V3 in chrome.

The Starlink probably only works once the drone enters Ukraine. Disabling Starlink in that area would cut off the Ukrainian military too. The internet traffic could easily be routed through a VPN in another country, so blocking Russian IP addresses on Starlink wouldn't work either.

It needs an optical encoder and a big, heavy knob so it will keep going when you spin it.

I picked this little scope up from the Seapac swap meet a week and a half ago for $3. It turns out that all it needed was some contact cleaner to get it working again.

This is a portable scope that can run from 12V DC as well as an internal battery. I don't have the battery for it, but I could probably put some 18650's in there if I disable the built in charger.
