Some Wuben X0 Thoughts (lemmy.blahaj.zone)
 

Got myself a Wuben X0 hoping for a decent little right angle light for up close use mostly poking around PCs and 3D printers. The beam isn't as floody as I'd like for that. The amazon listing calls it a flood beam, but I'd describe it as a bit throwy with a floody spill. A great general-purpose beam, but not quite what I was aiming for.

The box says I got the Samsung LH351D emitter. Which Wuben's site doesn't show as an option but pretty much every review online has. Don't know how recently Wuben switched to the 519a... maybe this is old stock.

I really like the shape. Being able to set it aiming up at an angle without it rolling away is great. Fit and finish is... fine. The button/port cover opens far enough to leave a mark on the top of the light and the battery cover isn't straight. And no, it isn't cross-threaded.

Will I spend more than the light cost to fill the trit slots? Maaaaaaybe...

If anyone's interested, I made a cap for Spicy3d's battery tube that doubles as a battery cover removal tool... so if anyone has one of these and wants to carry a spare battery and actually be able to install it, here ya go. https://www.printables.com/model/564296-18350-tube-cap-with-wuben-x0-battery-tool

...now I just need a spare battery to put in the tube. Anyone know how many amps this little thing needs?

And use the Content-Security-Policy header to limit where scripts can load from, just in case you miss escaping HTML somewhere.

If they want to train their artificial stupidity model on my posts, go for it. If they're looking for artificial intelligence, on the other hand, they might want a smarter dataset.

Don't know how you do it in Android, but in iOS you can tap share and then add to home screen to, well, add a website to your home screen.

I second this. I like my Noctigon KR4 with a boost driver... which is more or less the D4V2 with a tailswitch.

If I were doing it over, though, I'd probably get the D4K instead. Only a little larger than the D4V2 and KR4 with longer battery life since it has a larger battery. Not that I've ever needed more battery life...
