Input cover is bent on purpose to make getting it off easier. tighten the screws. the popping sound comes from 2 screws getting jammed from the laptop being open more than 90 degrees. again, shouldve just tightened the screws.

there are enough posts on both reddit and the framework forum discussing the exact same "issues" you have
