I think I read somewhere a while ago that Docker is only really "native" on Linux, because on Mac and Windows it spawns some internal virtual machine or something like that. Not sure if i remember it correctly but that would probably be a reason for worse performance i guess.
I also can't understand lobbying. To me, a non-US person, it just seems like legalized corruption.
The main culprits are the big oil companies. They made the carbon footprint term to make us feel guilty and shift the blame from the biggest polluters.
I really like using code.whatever.social as an alternative frontend to Stack Overflow. It has way less distractions and allows me to only look at the question and the answers and nothing else.

Look into OpenStreetMaps site for desktop PCs, and pick one of many android apps for the mobile phones that use OSM (i prefer osmAnd, it has a free premium version on F-droid software store) and you won't be needing to send all your location data to Google ever again.

I am trying to lower my use of Reddit and increase my use of Lemmy.
One thing I would really like to be accepted (since its already in the proposals on Github) is to have multiple communities that have same topic somehow be joined and their news aggregated together.
Why are they shut down?
