TLDR: The Atomic Desktops where just shipped with no way to update the bootloader.

Thus the shim signatures were outdated and newer kernels couldnt boot anymore.

The fix is to manually update the boot things by copying files, there never have been reported issues with the fix, and bootupd will be likely, finally, added to Fedora 41

Try KDE Plasma, you can strip out a ton of it, for example XOrg entirely, baloo, animations, etc.

I think XFCE has way more themes etc. Both are extremely themable though.

Most likely use of insanely bloated libraries.

My nearly-bank (until I found out they dont work without Google and their cards are not unlockable for a human being) GLS has an old app, based on some generic banking app banks used in the past "GLS mBank" which is ⅒ of the size of the new, bloated "GLS Banking".

And they rely on big brother Volksbank, and they depend on another provider "Atruvia" for "security magic sauce" whose proprietary 2FA garbage app "Securego Plus" blocks me when using a VPN, of course without a message.

I hate banks so much.

To my knowledge the presets are stored in the headphones and you just switch between them. At least with my headphones.

I mean, Github is literally the source of 2 operating systems I run. And most of my apps.

Really?? This is crazy.

Afaik headscale is the selfhosted server. You can likely login however you want.

Already found them but that is not a nice way.

I am getting AndroidStudio Flatpak currently and will just build the APK myself. Lets see how hard that is.

Some way to encrypt the decryption key.

This could also mean TPM + Pin. Or using a Nitrokey, externally, which stores the password to decrypt the decryption key.

That is how user account unlocking (on GrapheneOS with Pixel phones) is done.

opportunistic TPM integration would be nice.

I.e. use the security chip of the device, if one is found. Otherwise use password.

OR use a Nitrokey etc, which can act as a secure device to store these keys too.

Take that, Windows. You dont need a builtin TPM if you can use a Nitrokey 3 with a secure element, externally.

OBS can use Pipewire for the mic and desktop sound inputs, but it is not yet packaged on Flathub.

Here is how to add it manually.

The Flatpak is already packaged and works well. It just needs to be maintained from a person that joins the Inkscape community.

This would allow further improvements like Portal support and making the app official on Flathub.

There are many cases when people might want to have a dropdown list of the other entered values in a column.

And the ability to prohibit entering others.

Classic one: entering yes, no, maybe.

These are not boolean, but discrete, and others should not be allowed.

Do you know how to do that?

GTK is nice but too thick. There is a repo containing CSS for GTK3 to be more compact.

I could not find the same for GTK4.

Gradience from Flathub allows to load custom CSS. The GTK3 one did not change anything.

I use Fedora Kinoite (KDE) and all GTK apps are Flatpaks.

Found this project a while ago, couldnt find it again.

A unique looking Wayland desktop, independent from others.
